In the paper-cutting studio located in Dingshun Primary School in Liaocheng City, the paper-cut works are pleasing to the eye and do not diagonally connect, especially the Winter Olympics theme works hanging in the middle, which sets off a strong Winter Olympic atmosphere.
"This is some of the works I designed for the Winter Olympics, with snowflakes as the theme, this is the emblem of the Winter Olympics, this painting focuses on the ice pier of the mascot of the Winter Olympics, this painting I named it "Tiger You China"..." Bao Fenghua is an art teacher at Dingshun Primary School in Liaocheng City, and also a non-hereditary inheritor of Liaocheng paper-cutting, she played her specialty, integrated the elements of the Winter Olympics and the Year of the Tiger, and created a series of themed paper-cut works, especially this "Tiger You China", which uses a variety of techniques and tiger character elements, which can be described as unique.
"I used the method of 'yin scissors' to cut a tiger's head image that is not angry and arrogant, symbolizing the personality of the Chinese nation." The whole picture is all tiger characters, there are golden stone stele and famous calligraphy, and I strive to be like a god. I want to borrow the work "Tiger You China" to 'protect' China, 'protect' Chinese athletes in the Olympic arena like a tiger to add wings, tigers and tigers, and create good results. Bao Fenghua said.
This work of Bao Fenghua was shortlisted for the 2022 National Paper-cutting Art Comprehensive Exhibition of "Passionate Winter Olympics, Auspicious Yinhu". And her good friend Duan Haixia, who is also an educator, created "Unity and Unity, Tiger Blessing Winter Olympics" was also successfully selected. "In this work of mine, the tiger's forearm is raised, which means to cheer for the Winter Olympics and cheer for the athletes, and the middle of the work uses the symbols of snowflakes and the emblem of the Winter Olympics, implying that the athletes of the Winter Olympics are like tigers and brave enough to achieve good results." Next, Bao Fenghua and Duan Haixia will also bring these paper-cut works to more students, through online classes, intangible cultural heritage into the campus and other forms, inherit the paper-cutting culture and carry forward the Olympic spirit.
