Paper cutting to help the Winter Olympics, auspicious to welcome the Year of the Tiger. Recently, it was learned from the Liaocheng Paper-cutting Society that at the 2022 National Paper-cutting Art Comprehensive Exhibition of "Passionate Winter Olympics, Auspicious Yinhu", the works of two paper-cutting artists in Liaocheng were selected.

In order to further excavate the resources of folk traditional culture, inherit the excellent traditional Chinese culture, and use paper-cutting art to help the Winter Olympics and welcome the Yin tiger, the Modern Paper-cutting Art Research Institute of Beijing Jianzhu University and the Jiangsu Suqian Paper-cutting Association jointly held the "Passionate Winter Olympics Auspicious Yinhu" 2022 National Paper-cutting Art Comprehensive Exhibition.

A total of more than 300 works were exhibited this time. These works are unique in creativity and exquisite in technique, showing the different views and aesthetic tastes of paper-cutting artists and enthusiasts on paper-cutting art, and reflecting the epochality, scholarship and diversity of artistic innovation.

Liaocheng paper-cutting artist Bao Fenghua's works "Tiger You China" and "Five Blessings Arch" and Duan Haixia's work "Unity as One, Tiger Roaring Winter Olympics" were shortlisted. Among them, the title of the work "Tiger You China" adopts the harmonic expression method used by paper-cutting, and "Tiger You" means "Protection". In the middle of the work is a large golden traditional tiger character, and the following uses the method of "yin scissors" to cut a tiger's head that is not angry and arrogant. The author hopes to use this work to wish the tiger to bless China and the Success of the Winter Olympics.

Bao Fenghua's work "Five Blessings Arch" was also shortlisted for the top 100 of the "Hundred Tigers shengwei - National Paper-cutting Exhibition in the Year of Nongyin". There are 5 works in this group, each of which is a large tiger carrying 4 small tigers, and the colors of the 5 tigers are black and white, red, blue and yellow, corresponding to the five elements and five colors in the east, west, south, and north. The window ledge of the arch is meticulous, the gourd on the back of the tiger presents a three-dimensional effect of relief, and the bat and copper coin with the tiger's tail at the upper end of the pattern have the meaning of "blessing in front of the eyes". A single work that is not large in size uses a variety of expression methods, which makes people shoot amazingly.

In Duan Haixia's work "Unity and Unity of Heart, Tiger Roaring Winter Olympics", 8 tigers have their forearms raised, which means to cheer for the Winter Olympics and cheer for athletes. In the middle of the work, the snowflake pattern and the "winter" character logo are used to refer to the Winter Olympic Games, and the whole work is concise and atmospheric and rich in connotation, and the author wishes the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics a complete success, and wishes the athletes of the motherland to win medals like tigers.
