The Zhongshan Kingdom has a total of 17 kings in the two Han Dynasties, and the Zhongshan Kingdom of the Han Dynasty is in present-day Dingzhou City, so there are hundreds of Han tombs around Dingzhou. Since the 1960s, the tombs of King Huai of Zhongshan, the tombs of King Jian of Zhongshan, and the tombs of King Mu of Zhongshan have been excavated successively, and a large number of cultural relics have been excavated. It should be noted that the King of Zhongshan is only a county prince, but there are indeed many excavated cultural relics. In today's Dingzhou city, a hundred meters north of the municipal government, there is also a single open tomb of the King of Zhongshan, because there was no cultural relics that can directly prove the identity of the owner of the tomb, experts can only guess that it is the tomb of Liu Xing, the eighth King of Zhongshan in the Western Han Dynasty. This is a brick chamber tomb in the late Western Han Dynasty, the tomb chamber is not large, but also very simple. Since the excavation and cleaning in 1995, it has been seriously excavated, and there are not many cultural relics unearthed.
