Compared with the current common keyboard detachable, the screen itself is the host of the 2 in 1 laptop design, Samsung in the World Intellectual Property Office to apply for approval of the design patent, the display will make the 2 in 1 laptop screen body can correspond to the concave fold, and the bottom keyboard part can also be concave and folded storage.

However, Samsung places the processor and other components in the keyboard, that is, the concave screen only corresponds to the display function, and the left and right horizontal recesses are used at the same time, but theoretically, it can also be used by placing components such as processor and touch function, so that the screen can still be used independently after splitting.

Such a design is expected to reduce the area occupied by the laptop when it is stored and carried, and increase the flexibility of the use of the laptop, but it is uncertain whether Samsung will make this patent an actual product in the future.
