Grow from a hobbyist to a referee
"Horses walk the sun, like flying fields, cars go straight, cannons overturn mountains....". These common senses have long been memorized by chess enthusiast Chen Xu.
In 2002, Chen Xu, who was still in middle school, came into contact with many chess publications such as "Chess Art" and "Master Style", due to the lack of rural entertainment activities, Chen Xu loved these chess books, and without the guidance of a teacher, he studied hard, self-taught and grew, and gradually emerged in the township. Chen Xu experienced the taste of victory in chess for the first time, and the living expenses he usually saved would be taken to order chess books and periodicals, and through continuous learning and exploration, repeated playing of actual combat, the Chu River Han realm on the chessboard, and the fighting of wits and courage in the chess game became an important course in Chen Xu's college career. In 2007, Kung Fu paid off, Chen Xu transformed from an ordinary enthusiast and successfully won the inter-university championship, thus opening his chess career.
After graduating from university in 2009, due to professional reasons, Chen Xu chose to work as an accountant, but he did not forget his love for chess. In his spare time, Chen Xu is often active in the chess QQ group, and game exchanges and chess art discussions have become the main life of his spare time, so he has also met many friends with similar interests.
By chance, through the introduction of chess friends, Chen Xu joined the volunteer service of a chess tournament, and because of this volunteer experience, he had a more appropriate understanding of the organization of the chess tournament. Therefore, Chen Xu germinated the idea of further studying the organizational work such as object chess refereeing and arrangement. After that, Chen Xu cherished every recruitment opportunity, actively participated in various types of chess tournament services, further learned and exercised, and gradually sharpened and grew, in 2012, Chen Xu successfully obtained the title of chess first-class referee as desired.
Grow from participant to organizer
Due to the seriousness, carefulness and responsibility in the organization of the event, Chen Xu's work style has been recognized by many event organizers and athletes, and in 2013, Chen Xu was selected to assist in the organization of provincial events, thus becoming a part of the relevant event organizations of the Sichuan Chess Association. In 2014, Chen Xu participated in the Sichuan Provincial Games on behalf of the Provincial Sports Bureau, won the champion of the chess project, joined the Chengdu Chess School to participate in the teaching of chess in the same year, obtained the national referee qualification in 2018, and served as the deputy secretary-general of the Sichuan Chess Association in the same year; in 2021, he obtained the national first-class social sports instructor qualification (guidance project: chess). Over the past 10 years, organizing competitions, holding training, teaching and promoting, and improving chess skills have constituted Chen Xu's daily work, and he has officially changed from a chess enthusiast, participant, and service provider to a veritable organizer of chess events and a promoter of chess sports.

Chen Xu said.
Under the guidance of the Provincial Sports Bureau and the Provincial Social Sports Guidance Center, Chen Xu and other colleagues of the Provincial Chess Association actively practiced the strategic deployment of "123456" in Sichuan sports. In terms of event organization, taking the Sichuan Chess Championship of the National Amateur Chess Championship and the Sichuan Provincial Chess Tournament of 100 cities and thousands of villages and villages in Sichuan Province as an opportunity, in addition to carrying out the traditional form of landing competition, the chess tournament will also take the initiative to dock with the mobile Internet, and play a huge role in "chess + Internet". In recent years, with the popularization and maturity of chess mobile clients, especially when the situation of prevention and control of the new crown epidemic is still grim, the demand for online games from chess players in Tiannanhaibei is increasing day by day. As the pioneer of revitalizing national culture and reviving traditional culture, chess is rejuvenating.
Enter the new era as a leader
At present, Sichuan chess can be described as a world-shaking change, after several generations of chess people's hard work, amateur events from 2017 to 2020, the scale of holding ranked first in the country, for 4 consecutive years won the "excellent competition area"; the annual global chess doubles tournament will bring the world's chess attention to Chengdu, in 2019, Chengdu won the "World Chess Brand Tournament Cooperation City"; in 2020, Chengdu Shuangliu successfully created the "National Chess Town"; as of 2021, The Sichuan Provincial Chess Professional Team has successively won the "Grand Slam" of many events such as world championship, Asian champion, national champion, xiangjia champion and so on. In terms of chess achievements, Sichuan has entered the first class in the country, and the chess atmosphere of the country of Tianfu is unprecedentedly prosperous.
The river boundary is three points wide, and the wisdom is deep. In the criss-crossing chessboard, there is a game of martial arts and a fusion of wisdom. In Chen Xu's eyes, a small chessboard is a big world, life is like chess, chess is not only a test of physical strength and willpower, chess changes can reflect the major choices at all stages of life.
Chen Xu said that chess is like life, there are advances and retreats, there are losses and wins, playing chess can improve psychological endurance and ability to resist pressure, you can harvest joy and share experience when winning, and you can also detect gains and losses in failure and regulate emotions. For children, learning chess not only cultivates concentration, thinking, analysis and judgment, but also is an effective way to inspire thinking and frustration education.
