After midnight local time today, the Japan Meteorological Agency issued different levels of tsunami warnings for Japan's Pacific Coast. Among them, some outlying islands in Kagoshima Prefecture in southern Kyushu, and the coastal area of Iwate Prefecture in the tohoku region of Japan, are expected to reach a height of 3 meters. At present, there are eight prefectures in Japan that have issued evacuation instructions to at least 230,000 people in total. The Japan Meteorological Agency lifted all tsunami warnings and warnings at 14:00 local time today.
