On February 10, the staff of Yulin Yuyang Airport told the Nandu reporter that they were not aware of the matter; the staff of China Eastern Airlines told the Nandu reporter that no news related to the incident had been received at present, "MU2287 is normal from the perspective of flight dynamics." ”

Nandu reporter inquired on the official website of China Eastern Airlines and learned that flight MU2287 was operated by a passenger plane of the company numbered B305Y (the age of the aircraft was 3.1 years), which took off from Xi'an Xianyang International Airport at 7:52 on the 9th, and after 49 minutes of flight, landed at Yulin Yuyang Airport 18 minutes earlier than originally planned. However, flight MU2288, which returned to Xi'an from Yulin, was replaced by another Airbus A320, B6695, aged 11.5 years. Flight MU2288 was originally scheduled to depart at 9:45 on the same day, but the actual departure time was 16:08 and arrived in Xi'an at 17:07, with a delay of more than 6 hours.

Yulin Yuyang Airport staff told Nandu reporter that the reason for the delay of MU2288 flight is "aircraft failure", but the specific cause of the failure is not clear to the airport. The staff of China Eastern Airlines told Nandu reporters that the delay was caused by "aircraft maintenance".
