At least five talents from the Beijing publishing circle were contacted by a reporter from Chutian Metropolis Daily, Ms. Xu Ran, one of the book's responsible editors. Xu Ran told reporters that the Construction Engineering Society where she works is a science and technology publishing house and has almost no experience in operating bestsellers, so they are also outside the best-selling book publishing group. Mr. Liang Zaibing's new book can be related to the Construction Engineering Society, which should be related to the ten-volume "The Complete Works of Liang Sicheng" published by the Construction Engineering Society 20 years ago. "The Construction Engineering Society and the School of Architecture of Tsinghua University have close business contacts, and most of the editors are graduates of architecture. Mr. Liang Sicheng and Lin Huiyin, two of us, are the lighthouse-level seniors of our architecture profession, and it is a great honor for me and another editor, Yi Na, to be able to serve Mr. Zai Bing's book! ”

According to Xu Ran, Mr. Liang Zaibing no longer accepts any media interviews due to health reasons (except Xinhua News Agency, where he has served all his life). In the process of forming the edition, the construction engineering society is also more connected with Yu Kui, the daughter of Mr. Liang Zaibing.

The origin of the book is that 2021 is the 120th anniversary of Mr. Liang Sicheng's birth, and Tsinghua University has held a series of commemorative activities. Before the start of the activity, the dean and teacher of Tsinghua School of Architecture visited Mr. Liang Zaibing at home. After the guests left, Mr. Liang Zaibing said to his children: "From the birth of my father to the present two nails, his figure has gradually drifted away, but the outline of his father's life has become clearer and more complete, and this commemorative exhibition of Tsinghua is exactly what I am looking forward to, which can clearly display the outline of his life." The old man also decided to write a memoir in memory of his father and mother," expressing her deep nostalgia for her father and mother, and expressing her support for Tsinghua University to hold these commemorative activities. She excitedly recalled the years when she had been with her parents day and night, and asked her daughter to record those touching true stories, hoping to leave a documentary manuscript that she had experienced herself, which was a matter of her long-lost heart and a responsibility she had always felt. ”

In the memory of his daughter Yu Kui, Mr. Liang Zaibing wrote three articles to commemorate his parents' commemorative activities at Tsinghua: In 1986, the Department of Architecture of Tsinghua University held a commemorative event for the 85th anniversary of Liang Sicheng's birth, which was Liang Zaibing's return to Tsinghua Garden after many years of absence, and she wrote an article recalling her father Liang Sicheng for the first time. In 2004, Tsinghua University held an event to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Lin Huiyin's birth, and Liang Zaibing once again wrote "My Mother Lin Huiyin" for the commemorative book. In 2021, on the occasion of commemorating the 120th anniversary of the birth of her father Liang Sicheng, Liang Zaibing very much wanted to personally pick up the pen again and write a more detailed record of her parents' memories together, but she was now unable to read and write by herself and could not take care of herself. Fortunately, her thinking is still clear, and her memory is as amazing as her parents, so her daughter Yu Kui recorded her dictation as much as possible, and at the same time sorted out the manuscript of her previously completed or unfinished articles, and assisted her in organizing and publishing it into this book.
