Preface
The Yin Benji, located in the third part of the Chronicle of History, deals with the rise and fall of the second dynasty in Chinese history, the Shang Dynasty, beginning in 1600 BC and continuing for about 600 years.
At the end of the Xia Dynasty, because of emperor Xia's tyranny and absurdity, he destroyed the people's productive forces and plundered the country; so much so that the people lived in the depths of the water, and could not help but curse him: "When will this sun perish?" We want to die with you! ”
Therefore, Tang, as the chief of the princes of one side, led his troops to conquer Xia Jie. Emperor Huan fled in defeat and died, ending the Xia Dynasty for about four hundred years.
Tang, who was diligent in cultivating morality and the desire of the people, ascended to the throne of the Son of Heaven and opened a new dynasty, the Shang Dynasty.
The protagonist today is Tang's descendant, the last emperor of the Shang Dynasty, Emperor Huan. It is the TV series "Fengshen List" that people born in at least the 70s and 80s are very familiar with, and he indulges in his own beauty.
In history, what kind of a figure was Emperor Huan? How did he play a good deck of cards he had caught, even ruin his own country and destroy the ancestral inheritance of six hundred years?
First, why did Emperor Huan catch a good hand of cards as soon as he was born?
Emperor Huan was born to catch a good deck of cards.
First, the ancestors of The Ancestors of Lu accumulated great virtue and great goodness. The Kai Dynasty Emperor of The Sui Dynasty was the soup mentioned in the preface to the tyrannical Emperor Xia Jie. Second, Heben was not the eldest son, but because his mother was the queen, he became the heir to the throne. This shows that she has good genes and gets the best family education.
Emperor Yi's eldest son, Qi Zi Qi, qi mother, was unworthy, and could not be heirs. The youngest son, Xin, was the heir of Xin Muzheng, and Xin was the heir. Emperor Yibang, Zi Xin Li, is for Di Xin, the world is called the Silk.
Emperor Yi's eldest son was named Wei Zi Qi. Kai's mother was of low status, so Kai could not inherit the throne. The younger son was Xin, and Xin's mother was Empress Zheng, so Xin became the heir to the throne. After Emperor Yi's death, his son Xin Jili, this is Di Xin, and the people of the world call him Yi.
Third, lu's physical function is superior. He is bright and intelligent beyond ordinary people, and his courage and strength are superior. This is a body with the talent of a general.
Emperor Yizi discerns the disease, smells very sensitively, has excellent material strength, and has a fierce hand;
Emperor Lu was born with a quick mind, sharp ears and eyes, bravery, and able to fight with beasts of prey with bare hands;
Fourth, he is talented, eloquent, quick-witted, and has a strong ability to accept. He was able to silence the wisest courtiers of the kingdom; he was a natural orator, with one mouth enough to turn black and white upside down; his talent and prestige were unbeatable in the world at that time.
(Emperor Huan) knows enough to refuse advice, and words are enough to admonish wrongs; the people are able to do it, and the voice of the world is high, thinking that they are all under themselves.
Wisdom is enough to refute advice, eloquence is enough to cover up mistakes; to boast to his subordinates, to overwhelm the world with fame, to think that all men are inferior to themselves.
Fifth, the rich inheritance left by the ancestors, not to mention the property, jewelry, cultural heritage, etc., only in terms of talents, it is enough for people to covet. For example, the "Three Dukes" who were at the head of the group at that time - Xi Bochang, Jiuhou, and Ehou, the prince Bigan with seven exquisite hearts, the sage Shangrong, the courtier Zuyi, the weizi, and the jizi... These priceless and precious talents, emperor Huan was effortlessly at his fingertips, and he was at his disposal.
Second, how did Emperor Huan break a good hand of cards?
Emperor Huan was born at the end of the Shang Dynasty, but he was so blessed with a good hand of cards. Presumably, Heaven had a good intention for him, and wanted him to accomplish great things.
Unexpectedly, this good hand was broken by him, not only losing himself, but also destroying the six-hundred-year inheritance left to him by his ancestors. How did he break a good hand?
1. Indulge in lust
Being able to eat the fruits of one's own toil is a kind of enjoyment, and it is also a kind of happiness in a short life of labor. However, Emperor Huan did his best to pursue the stimulation of the fleshly senses without limits.
He feasted and drunk to the extent that he drank wine in a large pool, hung it like a forest with a large amount of meat, and let men and women chase each other naked in it, drinking all night for fun.
He did not listen to the positive, sunny, and positive sacred music left by his ancestors to edify his feelings, and the musicians created new debauchery tunes, listening to music that made people decadent, drunk and dreaming, and lost their fighting spirit.
In order to fill the treasury of Lutai and the granary of the giant bridge, in order to have sufficient rare treasures and other treasures for him to squander, he greatly increased various taxes to the people, scraped a large number of rare things, and filled the palace room...
2. Pro-villain, far-reaching sage
There is a saying that if you become a woman, you will lose a woman. Usually a man's success is related to the woman closest to him, or the pillow person, or his mother. However, Emperor Huan loved beautiful women, especially the vicious and debauched concubines in their hearts. In order to help Emperor Huan to be able to escape from the influence of Dai Himself, the Ninth Marquis dedicated his beautiful daughter to Emperor Huan. Unexpectedly, Emperor Huan actually killed the daughter of the Ninth Marquis, who did not like the style of fornication, and also chopped the Ninth Marquis into meat sauce. One or the other.
The good ministers and talents left behind by successive generations were all abolished and not used by emperors. But it is dedicated to, for example, Fei Zhong, who is good at patting horses and greedy for money, and this Fei Zhong is hated by the people. For example, the evil of being good at saying bad things about people has led to the princes becoming more and more alienated. This is the second.
(As an aside, how could the wise King of Qiu not know the virtues of the villains to be reused, the abilities of the virtuous men to be discarded?) So, why is he so pro-villain, far-reaching? Because he had no heart at all about how to revive the Shang Dynasty. All he wants is his place, all he wants is that he can live a life of indulgence. Therefore, as long as he is obedient, he can provide his pleasure-seeking servants. ）
3. Be violent and disregard for life
Compared with the virtues of Emperor Tang of the Kai Dynasty, the two are worlds apart. Emperor Tang saw the hunter hunting in a net on all sides and prayed, "May all the four sides of the world come to my net." Tang thought that this was a net, it was cruel, and demanded that the net be removed from three sides, so that the person who opened the net prayed: "Those who want to go to the left will go to the left, and those who want to flee to the right will flee to the right." If you don't obey the order, go into my internet café. "The princes of that time saw that Tang's benevolence reached the point where even the beasts were favored by him.
And Emperor Huan? When he saw that the people resented him and the princes betrayed him, instead of reflecting on himself, he was punished even more severely. The most famous is the setting of a kind of cannon burn torture. It is to let people crawl on the copper pillar coated with oil, light a charcoal fire below, and fall into the charcoal fire if they can't climb. The practice is extremely cruel and ruthless, and it takes pleasure in harming lives.
4. Do not listen to advice and act arbitrarily
Ehou told Jiuhou, who had been chopped into meat sauce, and as a result, he was also executed to make jerky. Because of the more and more misdeeds, Bigan vigorously argued in front of Him, but he was tragically dug into his heart... The loyalists who can speak out around him die, the prisoners who are imprisoned, and the fleeing flee.
Why couldn't Emperor Huan listen to the advice of his good ministers? Take a look at the following conversation:
Ben told him: "Heaven has cursed me for my life, the dummy Yuan Gui, no dare to know the auspicious, the non-first king does not match my descendants, the King of Wei is obscene and self-destructive, so the heavens forsake me, there is no safe food, there is no fear of knowing nature, and there is no rule." Now our people do not want to be mourned, that is, 'Heaven does not surrender its might, and the great destiny does not reach'? "I was born without a destiny!" Zui retorted, "Don't be advised." ”
"Heaven has terminated the fortunes of our Yin Dynasty, and those who know Providence dare not say that we have a good fate, and the Great Bu Turtle no longer shows good omens, it is not that the first king does not help our descendants, it is the king who is absurd and tyrannical, and he has cut himself off from heaven." So God has abandoned us, making it impossible for us to live in peace. And you don't know providence or follow the law. Now the people of our country do not want the yin kingdom to perish early, they say, 'Why doesn't heaven send down punishment, why hasn't the mandate of heaven yet come?' Now what is the king going to do? He said, "Wasn't I born with a destiny in heaven?" Zui went back and said, "I can't advise anymore." ”
He believes that the good hand he holds is "obeying the Mandate of Heaven". In other words, the heavens are here to help him, not to dominate him. His meaning is the meaning of Heaven, and he is the Son of Heaven. Not only is he proud to the point of no one, but he also does not know how to be in awe.
Finally, in 1046 BC, King Wu of Zhou, the son of Xi Bo, led the princes in a crusade against Yu and killed Daiji. With the self-immolation of the Fire, the Shang Dynasty retreated from the stage of history.
Third, look at the past and think about the present
Although many people are born with a good hand. But the truth is that the odds of catching a good hand at birth are not high. If we are the ones who have caught a good hand of cards among all sentient beings, we should all be blessed and live our lives well.
If you don't know how to cherish it, the result is much more tragic than a person who has caught a bad deck of cards but played a good hand.
How to cherish it to avoid the phenomenon of "three generations of wealth"? Then come against Emperor Huan:
1. Clean yourself, be cautious and self-disciplined;
2. Make good friends and stay away from losing friends;
3. Be kind and cherish life;
4. Listen well to advice and turn back in time.
Not only that, if you can establish your correct outlook on life and values from an early age, pay attention to the education of your life, and believe that those who have a good hand of cards can have a higher chance of not meeting the expectations of the public and create greater value for their families and society.
