The "Coming and Going into Ancient and Modern - Jiangsu Provincial Modern Art Museum Opening Exhibition", which is being exhibited at the Jiangsu Modern Art Museum in Block A, Aitao Cultural and Creative Park, No. 199 Tianyuan West Road, Nanjing, will also come to an end in this beautiful spring.
On February 26, the organizers joined hands with Children's 100 and Minmetals Trust to bring a beauty education activity in the ink painting scroll to parent-child families with the goal of "children's aesthetic education".
Located in Nanjing, which has more than 7,000 years of civilization history and nearly 500 years of capital construction history, Jiangsu Modern Art Museum is a key cultural project of Jiangsu Province's "13th Five-Year Plan", which was officially opened on December 7, 2021. The exhibition hall embraces the turquoise Gaohu Reservoir in the south and the green and continuous General Mountain, with a total indoor area of about 2,900 square meters, which is a modern and contemporary art exhibition place, as well as a comprehensive art exhibition space in different forms such as sculpture, installation and video art.
The art salon's aesthetic education activities of "Thousands of Miles of Rivers and Mountains in Ancient and Modern Times - Children's Painting Art Creation Experience" are divided into two parts: guided tour + creation.
PART 1 Art Tour
Children's 100 beauty education teachers led everyone to deeply appreciate the "Coming and Going into Ancient and Modern: Jiangsu Modern Art Museum Opening Exhibition", from the perspective of cultural inheritance and artistic innovation, taste Chinese ink painting.
This exhibition brings together more than 80 representative works of more than 20 well-known Chinese contemporary artists such as Xu Bing, Zhu Xinjian, Pan Gongkai and so on.
It is reported that the artists participating in this exhibition span the three generations of the old, middle and young in age, and present a cross-media, cross-regional and cross-cultural trend in form and concept.

PART 2 Creative Experience
"A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains" is a silk color painting created by Wang Ximeng of the Northern Song Dynasty, which is now in the collection of the Palace Museum in Beijing, and is one of the top ten famous paintings in China.
The picture scroll of "A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains" not only represents the mileage of the development of green landscapes; the coexistence relationship of the chaotic integration of heaven and man, which has existed in the depths of the Chinese and the depths of the inheritance and accumulation of culture, and is presented in the form of landscape painting, which also determines the orientation of people's choice of human settlements.
From the perspective of art history, the children's 100 tutors will bring children into the ink story, understand the common knowledge of ink painting such as thick ink, light ink, dry ink, wet ink, and burnt ink, and master the ink techniques at different levels of thickness (black, white, gray).
Subsequently, under the guidance of the mentor of Children's 100, the children began to splash ink and create their own eyes of the mountains and rivers.
