At the time of the Battle of Dawangzhuang, the 23rd Division of the 85th Army and two regiments were stationed in Xiaowangzhuang at the time, and this unit saw the fierce battle between the 18th Army and Huaye Nakano, and finally surrendered to the Huaye Seventh Column. After the end of the Battle of Dawangzhuang, two of the four corps of the 12th Corps had been broken, and the remaining two remnants, especially the remnants of the 18th Army, were still very stubborn in resistance.
