The Three Marquises of Shu Han Ping' Peace: East Deng Zhi Nan Ma Zhongbei Wang Ping, see how the three of them ended?

In the early Shu Han Dynasty, there were five tiger generals such as Yu, Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun, Ma Chao, and Huang Zhong, and in the later period, there were outstanding generals such as Wei Yan, Jiang Wei, Liao Hua, Xiang Pet, Wang Ping, Ma Zhong, and Deng Zhi. Among them, there were three people, one guarding Eastern Wu on the eastern border, one sitting in Nanzhong in the south, and the third on the northern border, known as the "Three Marquises of Ping'an". As long as these three people were there, Liu Chan, the successor of Chengdu, would sit back and relax, no longer worrying about the borders of Cao Wei, Eastern Wu, and Southern China.

According to the relevant historical data, the analysis is as follows.

Marquis of Ping'an to the east: Deng Zhi, who was once Zhao Yun's deputy general

Deng Zhi( Deng Zhi), also spelled Bomiao, was a rare general of the Shu Han Dynasty during the Three Kingdoms period after the famous general Deng Yu of the Eastern Han Dynasty. In his early years, he was predicted to be the supreme general, and it would come true decades later. After Liu Bei died of illness in the White Emperor's City, Deng Zhi was ordered to send an envoy to the State of Wu to repair the relations between the two countries, which was appreciated by Sun Quan, the Emperor of Eastern Wu.

In the sixth year of Jianxing (228), the Shu Han chancellor Zhuge Liang's first Northern Expedition, Deng Zhi, as the deputy general of the general Zhao Yun, pretended to attack The City of Yucheng and gave Zhuge Liang a cover for qishan. Zhao Yun was old, and Deng Zhi gave Advice to Zhao Yun to make up for Zhao Yun's deficiencies, and finally successfully withdrew after the street kiosk was lost.

Because Deng Zhi had sent an envoy to Eastern Wu and was impressed by Eastern Wu's vassals, and was well aware of Eastern Wu's hypocrisy, in 234 he oversaw Jiangzhou and sat on the eastern border of Shu Han to guard against his ally Eastern Wu. He learned the lesson that Guan Yu had no one in sight, and that he had a bad relationship with Sun Quan of Eastern Wu, which led to the defeat and death of the army, often met with Sun Quan, discussed various matters, wrote letters of greetings, and gave gifts to each other, promoting the alliance between Shu Han and Eastern Wu and stabilizing the border between the two sides. Nine years later ( 243 CE ) , Deng Zhi was promoted to the rank of CheQi general , and was later awarded a false festival and continued to be stationed in Jiangzhou. The Romance of the Three Kingdoms records the following:

QuanShu and Shiba are familiar with each other, and they are well-to-do. In the sixth year of Yanxi, he moved to the general of the Che Rider, and then he was on holiday.

In 251 AD, Deng Zhi, who was guarding against Eastern Wu, died of an unfortunate illness, and he had an upright personality, clear rewards and punishments, compassion for soldiers, and when he died, there was no excess property in the family, and he was a rare good general.

Marquis of Ping'an in the South: Ma Zhong, who has the same name as Guan Yu

Ma Zhong,Zi Dexin (字德信), was a general of the late Shu Han Dynasty. Friends familiar with this history of the Three Kingdoms may wonder that Ma Zhong was not the one who captured Guan Yu in Eastern Wu, but the "Ma Zhong" who was deeply trusted by Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang in Shu Han. After Liu Bei's death, the crown prince Liu Chan succeeded to the throne, and when Zhuge Liang opened the government to govern, he appointed Ma Zhong as the governor of men, which was used heavily.

In 225, Zhuge Liang marched south to Nanzhong and appointed Ma Zhong as the Taishou of Mu Mu Commandery (牂牁郡太守), and asked him to lead an army against Zhu Zhen, who was rebelling in Mu Mu Commandery (牂牁郡). Ma Zhong did not fail in his mission, and successfully captured Mu Mu County and killed Zhu Zhen. After quelling the rebellion, he pacified and relieved the people, rested and recuperated, and was supported by the local people.

After Zhuge Liang pacified Nanzhong and died of illness, Ma Zhong sat in Nanzhong to deter the local ethnic minorities, and recruited the young and middle-aged people of these ethnic minorities into the army and sent them to Hanzhong to enrich the Shu army of the Northern Expedition. In 249 AD, Ma Zhong died in Nanzhong, and his son Matthew inherited the title.

Marquis of Ping'an to the north: Wang Ping, commander of the Wudang Flying Army

Wang Ping, an illiterate man, was born in The Cold Gate. He was a native of Yizhou, but at first he served as a soldier under Cao Cao, and in the Battle of Hanzhong, he submitted to Liu Bei and became a member of the Shu army. After his submission to Shu Han, he participated in most of the battles of Shu Han. Especially in the Battle of the Street Pavilion, Wang Ping, as the vanguard of Ma Mo, jointly guarded the Street Pavilion.

He persuaded Ma Mo not to set up camp on the mountain, but Ma Mo did not listen and insisted on installing Dazhai on the south mountain. In the end, Ma Mo was surrounded by Zhang Gao, cut off the water source, suffered a major defeat, and lost the street kiosk. After the war, Zhuge Liang killed Ma Mo, Zhang Xiu, and Li Sheng in accordance with military law, but Wang Ping, because of his outstanding performance, successfully took the defeated army of Jieting back to the Shu camp, and was heavily respected by Zhuge Liang and took over Ma Mo's position as a soldier.

The Wudang Flying Army was a special unit of the Shu Han Dynasty, commanded only by the most trusted and powerful generals. With his own efforts, Wang Ping was recognized by Zhuge Liang and other Shu generals, and took charge of the Wudang Flying Army, making great contributions to Zhuge Liang's Northern Expedition.

In the north, Wang Ping was not facing his ally Eastern Wu in the east, nor the ethnic minorities in southern China, but the most powerful enemy Cao Wei, which shows that Wang Ping should be the most veritable of the "Three Marquises of Ping'an".
