Japan was the main participant in World War II. During World War II, Japan launched a frenzied invasion of many Asian countries, including China. In the Chinese battlefield, the Japanese army was overwhelming, and the Chinese army was defeated and retreated. Although in the TV series, the Japanese army is very stupid, and the Chinese anti-Japanese armed forces are very powerful, and it is not uncommon to tear ghosts, grenades to hit planes, and headshots for eight hundred miles. Some people even joked that a single Yan Shuangying could kill the ghosts of a division. But in fact, the real Japanese army is much more powerful than in the drama, especially the Japanese First-class division, which is more than one notch higher than the Chinese army. So what was the combat effectiveness of the Japanese armor division during World War II? Let's talk about it.
Let's first introduce the Japanese First Division. Divisions and regiments are the highest level fixed combat units in Japan, which are divided into four types: A, B, C, and D. Among them, the first division has the largest number of troops and the most sophisticated equipment, adopting the four-four system, with a division of about 25,000-28,000 people, infantry, artillery, cavalry, heavy and other companies are complete, equipped with heavy equipment such as field artillery and heavy howitzers, and some also have separate flying brigades. Before the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Japanese Army had 17 "standing" divisions, including the 1st-12th, 14th, 16th, 19th, and 20th Guards. The First Class Divisions we often refer to are actually mainly the 17 standing divisions that the Japanese army built before the war.
These divisions and regiments are fully formed, and the officers and men have received strict training, and the weapons and equipment are very sophisticated, so the combat effectiveness is very strong, and they are the ace units of the Japanese army. For the Chinese army, it is almost unimaginable to destroy a Class A division. In the Battle of Xinkou, half of the Fifth Division destroyed more than 30 regular Chinese divisions, and its combat effectiveness can be seen. In fact, not to mention the Grade A Division, even the B Division or even the C Division are not easy to deal with. In the Battle of Wuhan, several of China's main forces of more than 100,000 people surrounded the 106th Division, which was lightly attacked by the enemy, around Zhanggushan and Wanjialing, and the Chinese army tried to eat this second-rate division. As a result, the 106th Division could not be completely eliminated, and the casualties of the Chinese army were much higher than those of the other side. A few months later, the 106th Division was revived at the Battle of Nanchang. This shows how difficult it is to eliminate a Japanese division, even a B division.
In the anti-Japanese hot drama "Bright Sword", Li Yunlong, a crippled new regiment, actually defeated the elite Bantian Wing of the Japanese Army, which was fully staffed. This is simply unthinkable. The strength of the Bantian United was at least three times that of Li Yunlong, and the level of weapons and equipment and tactics as well as the quality of individual soldiers were much higher than that of the new regiment, and it was not an easy task to nibble on the Bantian United. In the Battle of Guanjia'an, the 385th and 386th Brigades of the 129th Division of the Eighth Route Army, the newly formed 10th Brigade and tens of thousands of troops of the First Column besieged more than 500 Japanese troops who were alone and penetrated with absolute superiority, resulting in a bloody battle for two days and nights, with more than 2,000 casualties, and finally let the Japanese army break through and run, which shows how strong the Japanese army's combat effectiveness was at that time. Therefore, the besieged Li Yunlong's troops defeated the Bantian United, even if it was to destroy the command system of the Bantian United, it was not an easy task.
Therefore, the Japanese army at that time was far more powerful than in the TV series, and the Chinese army fought extremely hard and fiercely at that time. It was in this situation of great disparity between the enemy and ourselves that the martyrs, with their fearless spirit and patriotic enthusiasm, waged an extremely arduous struggle against the Japanese, and finally drove out the Japanese and exchanged their lives and blood for today's happy and peaceful life. Those Chinese soldiers who have thrown their heads and spilled their blood for our country are real national heroes.
