In 2021, the world is still in the special environment of the post-epidemic era. CtCC strictly followed the requirements of relevant departments in the 2021 season to strictly control the epidemic prevention and make accurate judgments on the general environment, taking the lead in the opening battle in May, and also becoming the earliest national-level venue car event in China last year.
The strongest lineup - CTCC Matsue Sheshan Station
In the 2021 season, the CTCC arena, which has created the concept of the Golden League, can be described as a gathering of stars, with a total of 12 champion drivers of the year participating in each race group.
During the Songjiang Sheshan Station, the NGCC Cup attracted five former CTCC annual champions to compete in the same competition. We welcomed the return of 2014 CTCC Champion Driver Cui Yue and 2015 CTCC Champion Driver Xia Yu, the former joining Changan Auto Blue Whale Team, and the latter wearing the Dongfeng Fengshen Team's red jersey for the four-legged race at the final stage. In the 2021 season, CTCC actively laid out the field of new energy racing, held the first China Hydrogen Energy Automobile Super League during the Jiading Station in Shanghai, attracting 8 hydrogen energy vehicles from 4 automobile OEMs to participate in the competition, showing the latest technology belonging to the future automotive industry.
The most blockbuster start - Changan Automobile
Winning the first shot and first crown in the history of the NGCC category at Shanghai Jiading Station is undoubtedly the biggest compliment for the Changan Auto Blue Whale Team, which has just joined the CTCC family this season. During the period at Zhuzhou Station in Hunan, the team further achieved the feat of taking the podium. Similarly, with the excellent performance of the Blue Whale engine and the stable performance of the drivers, the team has created the fastest lap of the track in many races throughout the year, including Shanghai International Circuit, Zhuzhou International Circuit and Shanghai Tianma Circuit.
The longest winning streak – the MG XPOWER team
The MG XPOWER team created an unprecedented nine-game winning streak at this year's TCR China race, with a 75% win rate this season. After a tough start, the team's winning record lasted from the fourth leg of the season to the final leg, with the three MG XPOWER teams, Emmingda, Zhang Zhendong and Cao Hongwei, who are in the top three of the drivers' standings of the year, each winning three gold cups.
Fastest lap record – Lynk & Co 03TCR racing car
With the help of Michelin tires, CTCC once again set a new model track speed lap record in 2021. At this year's Guia Macau Competition, Shell Jacquelinek Racing Team Ma Qinghua grabbed a clean track window and set a lap time of 2:31.545, breaking the record for the fastest lap in Macau made by world champion Hoff last year.
The most podium appearances - Michelin tire people
In the 2021 season, the person who got the most on the podium at CTCC was not the driver or the team manager, but the Michelin tire man Bi biden. Michelin Tire successfully joined hands with Lisheng Sports in 2018, and began to become the official designated tire supplier of CTCC in 2019, and has so far gone through three years of spring and autumn with the RV National Race. The youngest driver - SAIC Volkswagen Lu Wenhu
It can be said that the back wave of the Yangtze River pushes the front wave, and the young force represents the future of China's motorsport. Lu Wenhu, who played for SAIC Volkswagen 333 team this season, is an uncompromising post-00 driver, only 16 years old. His slightly childish and handsome face corresponds to his calm driving style. During his time at Matsue Sheshan Station, he made his first stand on the CTCC podium.
It is worth mentioning that 2021 is also the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the SAIC Volkswagen 333 team. Dating back to 2001, the SAIC Volkswagen 333 team was officially established. Over the past 20 years, SAIC Volkswagen 333 Team has continuously participated in Chinese motorsport and is committed to the cultivation of racing talents: xu lang and Wang Rui, the first generation of champion drivers in the past; Han Han, a racing pacesetter in 80; and Zhang Zhendong, a four-time champion in 90!
