He and Sun Yat-sen were two people who were one and the same, and they could be called the two brightest stars of the Xinhai Revolution.
Huang Xing's family is well-off, because his father is from Xiucai, so he attaches great importance to the education of his children, and under the strict discipline of his father, Huang Xing can recite the Four Books and Five Classics backwards from an early age. However, Huang Xing was not satisfied with China's national classics, and he later entered the Wuhan Lianghu Academy, came into contact with the Western bourgeois democratic theory, and became deeply interested in the bourgeois democratic revolution, so he traveled east to Japan to continue his studies to better understand the idea of democratic revolution.
Unlike other intellectuals, Huang Xing was passionate about the military. In Japan, he often invited military instructors to teach him courses at his own expense, and in addition to military theory, he developed a good habit of training in military skills every day, and he was proficient in horseback shooting, which laid a solid foundation for him to directly lead armed uprisings afterwards.
As early as before the Xinhai Revolution, the incompetent Qing government let foreigners bully them at will, but all progressive people would scorn the rule of the Qing government, so the Huaxing Association was established, Huang Xing was the president, and the main task was to lead the anti-Qing revolutionary groups and revitalize China.
But the Qing government did not sit still, Cixi launched a frenzied suppression of the Huaxing Society, Huang Xing had to flee to Japan for refuge, and it was also during this period that he became acquainted with Sun Yat-sen, and the two of them immediately hit it off and organized an alliance meeting together, when Sun Yat-sen was the first in command and Huang Xing was the second in command.
In the series of uprisings that followed, Huang Xingdu personally went to the front to command the battle, although the results of the uprising ended in failure, but it still had a lot of positive effects, and Huang Xing also became more and more frustrated and courageous, and gradually grew into a generation of leaders.
After the revolutionary center shifted to the Yangtze River Valley, the Wuchang Uprising broke out and declared successful, and the provinces followed suit and responded, and the Qing Dynasty eventually came to an end. Three years after the reunification, the Provisional Government of Nanjing was established, and Sun Yat-sen recommended Huang Xing to become a grand marshal, but Li Yuanhong followed suit, and finally Huang Xingzhi became a deputy marshal. A year later, the Republic of China was formally established, and Huang Xing was elected chief of the army.
However, unfortunately, such a big person whose status and ability are at the peak of his position and ability died young at the age of 42. After Huang Xing's death, Sun Yat-sen was so grief-stricken that he personally presided over the funeral for Huang Xing and organized a state funeral for Huang Xing under the Yunlu Peak of Yuelu Mountain in Changsha.
