On January 1, the nineteenth year of Jiaqing (1814), Hong Xiuquan was born in a family of cultivators in HuaXian County, Guangdong Province, and from the age of 7 he went to school in the village, familiar with the Four Books and Five Classics and some other ancient books. Hong Xiuquan was 15 years old and went to Hua County for the first time to participate in the county examination, ranking among the best. But when he went to Guangzhou to participate in the re-examination, he fell behind. Because his family was poor, he farmed and studied at the same time!
Subsequently, Hong Xiuquan, who wanted to obtain glory and wealth through the "formal way" (imperial examination), repeatedly failed, and did not even pass the examination, and Hong Xiuquan, who was ridiculed and doubted about his life, gritted his teeth and engaged in a rebellious business. In 1851, Hong Xiuquan launched the Jintian Rebellion, founded the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, and proclaimed himself the Heavenly King.
After only a few years of conquest, several southern provinces were also occupied by the Taiping Army. Since then, Hong Xiuquan has achieved his goal in life, the Taiping Army has attacked the city and conquered Nanjing, and Hong Xiuquan has entered Nanjing in a sixteen-carrying sedan car. He lived in the original Liangjiang Governor's Palace, and soon built the Tianwang Mansion. In the 11 years since then, Hong Xiuquan has hardly taken a step out of the Heavenly King's Palace, which makes people wonder, a Heavenly King, actually did not come out of the Heavenly King's Palace! So what was King Hong Tianwang busy with for eleven years?
The first thing the Taiping Army did after capturing Nanjing was to build a large number of civil engineering and build the "Heavenly King's Palace" and the Palace of the Kings. According to the "Modern History of China", after the Taiping Army entered Nanjing, it began to build a large number of civil engineering, expanded the original Governor of Liangjiang, Yamen, into the Tianwang Palace, and also built luxurious Dongwang and other mansions, because of the expansion of the land, a large number of private houses were demolished, and thousands of laborers were used to build the luxurious Tianwang Palace. However, it was not long before a fire broke out in the Heavenly King's Mansion, and then a more luxurious Heavenly King's Mansion began to be rebuilt on the basis of the original Heavenly King's Mansion. Yes, the surrounding area is more than ten miles, showing a scene of golden splendor and royal palace.
Hong Xiuquan has a very strict rule, that is, his harem is not allowed to enter men, even during the construction of the Heavenly King's Palace, his harem is also forbidden for men to enter, all have such a saying: "All the ministers, big and small, stop their whereabouts here, there is a commandment to enter, otherwise the snow in the clouds (that is, killing people)", even male craftsmen are not OK, if once mistakenly entered there is a danger of killing the head! All the repairs of the harem of the Heavenly Palace fell on the body of the palace maid, and the male craftsmen could only dry goods outside the palace! Even in the heavy work, it is done by the palace maid! Moreover, Hong Xiuquan often sat on a palanquin to supervise female craftsmen. However, Hong Xiuquan occasionally helps female craftsmen to do things together.
The second aspect may seem strange, we all know that Hong Xiuquan is the Heavenly King of the Eight Classics of Zheng'er, and is enshrined as the "Son of the Heavenly Father". Hong Xiuquan is generally in charge of the Heavenly King's Mansion, as can be seen from the TV series, in fact, it seems that Yang Xiuqing is the "Emperor Taishang", he can give orders to the Heavenly King, Hong Xiuquan can not go out, it is estimated that it is the instructions of the "Heavenly Father", all external affairs are Yang Xiuqing's labor.
In the third aspect, after the Taiping Army entered Nanjing, the kings' royal palaces were also repaired, and we can also see that these "kings" began to enjoy themselves in time, as long as they were a little posture around, almost all of them could become their palms, according to incomplete statistics, more than a hundred people who were fortunate to have been blessed by the Heavenly King! In addition, the Tianwangfu and the Eastern Wangfu also have a characteristic, unlike the Qing court or other dynasties, the Tianwangfu has no eunuchs, only palace women, and the official positions of different roles are not the same, and the big and small affairs in the palace are completed by them! Therefore, there are many opportunities for the King of Heaven to take advantage of, so there is no need to think about it!
In the end, Hong Xiuquan relied on religion to get up, is a very mysterious figure, the son of the Heavenly Father naturally will not appear in front of the world very easily, so he does not go out of the Heavenly King's Palace to have a certain religious color in it, maintaining a certain sense of mystery!
