According to Japanese media reports, Kanazawa Diamond, a subsidiary of Kanazawa University (also known as Kanazawa University in Ishikawa Prefecture), plans to start selling its own artificial black diamonds in the fall of 2022.

India simplifies gold export rules

On December 28, India's Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council said gold jewellery and handicrafts used for export would be exempt from mandatory marking rules, simplifying the engraving of related signs. The Indian Bureau of Standards (BIS) has also relaxed the requirements for gold products to participate in international exhibitions, but these goods still need to be marked and engraved when they are sold in the country.

Men's jewelry is a big seller, promoting the jewelry industry to flourish

According to market research firm Euromonitor International, the men's jewelry industry is worth $6.5 billion in 2021, up 17 percent from 2020 and nearly 4 percent from 2019. The industry has been growing steadily between 2015 and 2021, excluding the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic – a compound annual growth rate of more than 3%.
