To be fair, the Baoyu in the original work is not very old, put it to the present, just a teenager in adolescence, he has no real troubles, only some "idleness", he has no responsibility, nor ambition, but such a Baoyu just makes Lin Daiyu love like a drunkard.
Some people say that Jia Baoyu is a scumbag, he will pay different degrees of affection for almost every girl, and has different degrees of care, which makes Dai Yu feel very worried, she intuitively feels that Bao Yu has a sister and forgets her sister. Daiyu's intuition is not empty, but has a factual basis, and after Baoyu sees Baochao, he is often moved by Baochao's beauty or knowledge. In the past, many people preached that Baoyu and Daiyu had anti-feudal and rebellious ideas, but if you leave aside the class struggle in Jia Fu in "Dream of the Red Chamber", the anti-feudal ideas of Baoyu and Daiyu are actually not prominent. Baoyu's rebellion was also far from reaching the point where Jia Zheng believed that "killing the king and killing the father" was also far behind.
If you look closely at Jia Baoyu, you will find that he is a cute boy who is naughty but also cute. If he does not return the courtesy, he will not be allowed to go away. It is the adults who dot on him, who are born to be satisfactory, and the second who sees the number of people' courtesies, which is better than the adults, so that people see cuteness and pity, and only after the scenes of the ground do they indulge him a little. If he only cares about the inside and the outside, and does not compete with the adults, according to how he was born, he should also be killed. It can be seen from this that although Jia Mu loves Baoyu, she also admits that she is doting on this grandson. But from Jia Mu's words, it can be seen that she is not irrationally doting. She knew that Baoyu had some strange tricks, and she allowed Baoyu to be strange at home, but she asked Baoyu to come up with a "serious courtesy" in front of outsiders and not lose the face of the family. Although Baoyu was a little more arbitrary when he was mixed up in the inner veil, his behavior was still quite regular. Although there is not much difference in generations, from the perspective of age, he is different from Jia Zhen, Jia Lian, Jia Yun, Jia Rong and so on. It can even be said that he is the only "clean" man in Jia Province. His liking for girls is relatively clean and safe, obviously different from Jia Zhen Jia Rong and others. Jia Baoyu's personality characteristics are very full, he is indeed rebellious, he dared to go against the mainstream thinking of the society at that time, did not read orthodox books, did not participate in the imperial examination, did not become an official, and even ridiculed those who were officials as "Lu Beetle". He cherished all the girls he met outside the house, and did not treat them as slaves. In fact, in the society at that time, the female slaves of the Jia family were the private property of the Jia family, and they could be scolded and sold at will, but Jia Baoyu not only never deliberately punished them, but even planned to release them all in the future. But on the other hand, he was a boy who refused to grow up. Jia Baoyu knew that once they grew up, everyone would have to do their own thing.
