To this end, the owner also called Tesla's official customer service phone to question the reason. The other party responded that the knee airbag does not affect the safety of the whole vehicle, in the car accident, the knee airbag on the safety of the vehicle is not high, the entire domestic series of Tesla is not, even if there is no knee airbag, it can still ensure the safety of the owner.

Manufacturers do not equip cars with knee airbags, and the reason is that in addition to cost savings, it is also related to the fact that the regulations of the countries where the market is located do not make mandatory requirements. Therefore, the incident of reducing the allocation of overseas models after the introduction of the Chinese market is not accidental.

Previously, Honda CR-V/Haoying and Hyundai Sonata received excellent evaluations in the IIHS crash test in the United States, but they achieved dismal results in the C-IASI test; even luxury brands such as Mercedes-Benz and BMW were also exposed to the use of steel to replace aluminum alloy materials and other reductions in the body.

These reductions in the allocation of overseas brands are not only generally disliked by domestic car owners, but most of the models that have been reduced have also been quickly abandoned by the market with practical actions. Tesla, as a new force that has not been in China for a long time, has been questioned many times for ignoring the actual needs and psychological feelings of consumers.
