Today we will talk about the story of General Wang Fuzhi: on the Korean battlefield, two flies became his saviors.
Wang Fuzhi, born in 1923 in an ordinary peasant family in Zizhou County, Shaanxi Province, as a child he experienced a lot of hardships: because the family was poor, so there was no way to study, when he was five years old, his mother died of illness, and after that, the family became increasingly poor, his father had to take him out of his hometown to Yan'an, through the introduction of local distant relatives, his father went to a landlord's family to do long-term work, and Wang Fuzhi worked as a small cattle herder in the landlord's house, and a few years later, with the efforts of his father, Wang Fuzhi finally went to private school for three months.
In 1935, Liu Zhidan led the Red Army in northern Shaanxi was active in the Yan'an area, Wang Fuzhi found that this unit could be very different from the old troops, so he germinated the idea of becoming a soldier, don't look at him only 12 years old, but his height is more than 1 meter 6, so he ran to the Red Army to lie that he was 17 years old, just like this, in July of this year, Wang Fuzhi became a small soldier in the 26th Army.
In October 1935, Wang Fuzhi, who had only been a soldier for three months, experienced a battle. On that occasion, the Red Army formed a pinch attack on Laoshan from the east and west sides, trapping a division of the Northeast Army in it; at more than 2 p.m. on the 1st, the main forces of the three divisions of the Red Army launched an attack on the enemy, and the Northeast Army suddenly lost its position, and the entire division was scattered, so the Red Army immediately adopted the tactic of encircling and annihilating on the spot, breaking through the small groups of enemies one by one. Wang Fuzhi's Shaogong battalion, a total of more than 200 people, was responsible for attacking a small highland.
But as soon as the enemy saw that the children on the opposite side were full of childish faces, and when the spirit suddenly came, they shouted at each other in the Northeast dialect:
"There are some small bumps at the bottom, not a climate!"
It is said that the newborn calves are not afraid of tigers, and the small Red Army of the Young Communist Battalion was immediately unconvinced when they heard this, and their troops were divided into three ways: one team attracted fire from the front, and the other two teams attacked from the left and right sides.
Just when the enemy was fiercely captured on the front, the baby soldiers on both sides had already rushed to the high ground, and Wang Fuzhi, because he had just joined the army without a gun, he took a shuttle dart against the enemy's neck and shouted: "Pay the gun and don't kill!" "When the enemy saw that the position was lost, he had no choice but to raise his gun above his head, kneel and surrender, and Wang Fuzhi immediately snatched the gun, and from then on, he had his first gun since joining the army.
After the Battle of Laoshan, Wang Fuzhi was transferred to the 75th Division as a messenger, and later went to the regimental headquarters to study surveying and mapping as a surveyor of the 78th Division. During the Liberation War, he successively served as the commander of the Northeast Democratic United Army Battalion, the chief of the Operations Section of the Northeast Field Army, and the deputy commander of the Fourteenth Regiment of the Fifth Division.
Of course, war is always cruel, every battle will have casualties or sacrifices, Wang Fuzhi has also experienced many life and death tests, and the most memorable thing for him is the death escape on the Korean battlefield.
During the Period of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, Wang Fuzhi followed the troops into the Korean War, and at this time he was already the deputy commander of a certain division. At the end of the summer of 1952, Wang Fuzhi's troops were holding a position along the Linjin River, and the frenzied enemy poured tons of bombs on it in order to seize this position. On August 2, the fighting continued, when Wang Fuzhi, who was already the acting division commander, was in a cave with his staff to analyze the war situation, while Liu Ming, a reporter accompanying the army, rushed to write a field report. Suddenly, there was a loud noise, and a shell hit the top of the cave impartially, and suddenly, 7 people, including Wang Fuzhi, were buried in the cave.
Wang Fuzhi was pushed to the end of the tunnel by the powerful air current, and some of the broken stones that fell from the top crushed him underneath and could not move, while the reporter Liu Ming and three other comrades-in-arms were killed on the spot, in addition to Wang Fuzhi in the cave, there were two other survivors, and the three people did not know how long it took to push away the stones on their bodies and climb out.
However, the crisis has not been lifted, because the cave has been sealed, the cave is dark, they can not go out, the only thing they can do is to take the basin, bucket and other items, constantly banging, hoping that people outside will hear the movement and know that there are still living people inside the cave.
But the three people took turns knocking for a day, and they didn't see any reaction outside, at the same time, they encountered a new situation, not only was the space for movement in the cave small, the air began to thin, and worse, there was no food or water inside. At the critical moment, the three people could only concentrate their urine to maintain their lives, time passed minute by minute, the three people's bodies became weaker and weaker, and just as they fell into despair, there was finally movement outside the cave - a burst of excavations.
It turned out that just after the enemy bombed Wang Fuzhi and others lost contact, Mr. Peng ordered:
"We must make every effort to find out Wang Fuzhi, even if they are sacrificed, they must dig up the remains and transport them back to China."
In this way, reinforcements began excavation work at the collapsed cave. At first, the soldiers involved in the excavation did not know whether there were survivors inside, but after more than 30 hours of excavation, they still did not find it, and everyone's mood was a little low, and they all felt that Wang Fuzhi and others had been sacrificed.
But at this moment, a company commander of the sappers shouted excitedly:
"Look! Two flies flew out! ”
Since there were flies that could fly out from inside, it meant that there was still air inside, and Wang Fuzhi could still be alive. Thinking of this, everyone's morale was greatly boosted, and they began to dig down again. After 38 hours, the entire 38 hours later, the opening of the cave was finally dug open, and Wang Fuzhi's 3 people were finally rescued.
Soon, escorted by soldiers, the three were taken to the hospital for treatment. After the war, General Wang Fuzhi often mentioned this past: "If it were not for those two flies, I am afraid that I would have died there." Unfortunately, I didn't write down the name of the sapper company commander at that time, and I still haven't been able to find him. And after that, general Wang Fuzhi, who was disgusted by others, never harmed, and he often smiled and said, "This is my 'savior'." ”
