Jin Caifeng, a famous Yue opera performance artist and founder of Yue opera Jinpai, died in Shanghai on the morning of January 10, 2022 at the age of 92.

Jin Caifeng, formerly known as Jin Cuifeng, was born in Shanghai in November 1930 in Yin County, Zhejiang Province, and was admitted to the training class of the Xuesheng Theater Troupe in 1946. Later, he transferred to dongshan yue art society to play Danjiao, together with Lu Ruiying and Ding Saijun, known as the "Dongshan" sanding armor. In the summer of 1951, he entered the Yue Opera Troupe of the East China Opera Research Institute, and in 1955, he joined the newly built Shanghai Yue Opera House. Jin Caifeng works as a boudoir and is also good at flower dan. The singer inherits the Yuan school, and absorbs the vocal factors of other genres such as the Fu school according to his own voice conditions, integrates and penetrates, and becomes a style of his own, which is recognized as the "Golden School".
Jin Caifeng's singing voice is graceful and beautiful, and the rigidity and softness are harmonious. Her voice is bright, the line cavity is natural and smooth, the simplicity of the exhibition style, the show is angular in the show, the soft is rigid, dignified and generous; the bite is clear, especially pay attention to the suppression of the recitation, with musicality. She has sung Yuan Pai's famous dramas "Xi Xiang Ji" and "Xiang Lin Sister-in-law", and when singing, she not only maintained the euphemistic and smooth characteristics of Yuan Pai, but also played her own singing method with a brighter voice and stronger strength, giving the singing voice another artistic feature, which was called "Yuan Lu Jin Singing" by musicians. From this, we can also see the trajectory of genre inheritance and derivation.
On the basis of inheriting the tradition, jin Caifeng constantly explores and creates new singing voices according to his own experience and understanding of the role, especially for the traditional "four work cavities", and enriches and develops them in terms of tone plate type and cavity treatment, so that it shines with new brilliance.

Forever 'three covers', caifeng teacher for eternity! ”
