Since the phrase "Princes and generals, Ning has a kind of hu" in Dazexiang, China has begun a frenzy of peasant uprisings. In every chaotic world, there were always a large number of peasants who launched uprisings and overthrew the rule, such as the Red Brow Yellow Turban at the end of the Han Dynasty, the Eighteen-Way Anti-King at the end of the Sui Dynasty, the Yellow Nest at the end of the Tang Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, and so on. But there are very few female uprisings, let alone palace women's uprisings, which are the only ones in history.
Twenty-one years after Jiajing, more than a dozen palace ladies, led by Yang Jinying, took a long yellow aya and wrapped Jiajing's neck and prepared to strangle Jiajing to death. As a result, because they were too nervous to tie a dead knot to kill Jiajing, they wanted to stab Jiajing to death with a hairpin. Unexpectedly, one of the palace ladies was afraid, so she told the queen. When the empress arrived, she immediately subdued a group of palace women, and also executed Yang Jinying and other first criminals, Ling Chi, and exterminated the Nine Tribes.
This unique palace revolt, everything is still the sins of the Jiajing Emperor himself. In the sixteenth year of Emperor Mingwu's reign, Zhu Houzhao died suddenly, and Zhu Houzhao, who had no heirs, could only pass his throne to the son of King Xingxian at that time, his cousin Zhu Houxi. Zhu Houxi, also known as the Jiajing Emperor, tried his best to rule after ascending the throne and founded Jiajing Zhongxing, but in his later years, with his weak health and superstitious Belief in Taoism, led to corruption in the imperial court and Yan Song took power.
In the Jiajing Dynasty, the number of palace women in the court reached thousands, and so many palace women were because the Jiajing Emperor wanted to refine Dan. Jiajing advocated Taoism, called himself "Emperor Daojun", and also superstitiously believed in fangshi, and listened to the rumors of fangshi and recruited palace women in the folk. After entering the palace, these palace women are not normal in eating and living, and they cannot communicate with the outside world, as if they are confined.
The materials needed for Jiajing's alchemy were also unique, and he needed the essence of the maiden's menarche at the age of thirteen or fourteen to cultivate the elixir. Moreover, in order to ensure the cleanliness and purity of the girls, he made them not eat any food during menstruation, but only mulberry leaves and dew, and the tortured palace women were miserable. And Jiajing's temper is not good, but anyone who is a little unhappy or the palace maid makes a small mistake will be punished. It is recorded that more than two hundred palace women were killed by Jiajing.
Finally, after consulting with the sixteen palace women led by Yang Jinying, they decided to kill Jiajing so that they would not be killed sooner or later. That's how the above story comes in. Although the change of the Palace of Nongyin failed, it had a huge impact on the Jiajing Dynasty, and Jiajing, worried about the safety of his life, hid in the Xiyuan to devote himself to cultivation, and never went to the court again, letting Yan Song handle the government affairs on his behalf. This also led to the emergence of the Yan Party dictatorship, and Jiajing became more Taoist after this, and from then on, the government was abandoned and the Jiajing Dynasty was prosperous and declined.
Although the history books record this palace change as "atrocities" and "conspiracies", the change of the palace is a genuine act of opposition to anti-violence. These sixteen palace women were all trying to save their lives, and what they wanted to resist was the tyrant whose hands were stained with the blood of more than two hundred palace women, and even if they failed, they also told everyone that they were for self-help and resistance.
