In each Cadillac pure electric IQ space, you can currently experience the first model of the Cadillac Aoteneng platform - LYRIQ. On the opening day, there was already a display of the vehicle's lighting and interior, but the car could not be energized.
Of course, LYRIQ's lighting system alone can make people shine, and the exterior lighting design is composed of 736 LED light sources, and there is a 1.8-meter oversized "dark crystal obsidian grille", and in-line LED headlights and LED taillights with dynamic effects of streamers. The Cadillac illuminated logo at the front of the car is the first to appear, and the high brake lights at the top of the rear are very similar to the red markings of the aircraft engine, which is highly recognizable.
In the on-site experience, the front and rear door opening and closing experiences are innovative. Slightly press the door handle, the door will automatically pop out about 5 cm, easy to open. And this opening is outward one-way, directly to the inside is not enough, to avoid misoperation of the clamping hand. A small wing-like handle is also designed on the front and rear window lines, which can further optimize the feel of opening the door while reducing wind resistance.
The design of the threshold is also worth mentioning, we found that the threshold of LYRIQ is not convex at all, avoiding the phenomenon of the threshold convexity caused by the design of the battery shell in many electric vehicles before, and the "top calf" caused by the latter affects the daily car experience. This may be related to LYRIQ's creation based on Aoteneng platform technology, and the modular advanced nature and safety of soft pack batteries will be one of the important advantages of LYRIQ.
Finally, the interior is built to the fullest interpretation of "high-tech luxury". The full LCD instrument and the central control screen form a curved conjoined screen, with elegant curvature, which fully reflects the "art and technology" philosophy adhered to by Cadillac, and makes me look forward to its future effect. The seat is wrapped in a large area of leather, and the padding is thick and soft, forming a visual presentation of the cutting-edge design, but in terms of actual sitting, it is more inclined to the comfort that traditional luxury cars insist on.
