Recently, foreign media TheGamer released an announcement on social platforms, announcing that Ubisoft screenwriter and narrative designer Russell Lees has now passed away. Russell Lees entered the game industry in 1995 and has worked as a screenwriter for The Valiant, Origins, The Owl, The Revolution and Assassin's Creed 3.

Narrative Director Darby McDevitt said: "This week, we lost a dear friend and outstanding colleague. Narrative designer Russell Lees is part of the Assassin's Creed and Far Cry families. All those who have worked with him will attest to his patience, generosity, enthusiasm and optimism.".
