Just when Emperor Hancheng was surprised, Zhu Yun bowed his head and began to impeach Zhang Yu, the chancellor, and he said to Emperor Hancheng: "There are officials around Your Majesty who do not do things and eat empty salaries. Emperor Hancheng asked, "Who are you talking about?" Say it for me to listen to. Zhu Yun was not afraid and said the name of the prime minister.

Zhang Yu's frightened legs were soft, and he was in a cold sweat. Emperor Hancheng loved his teacher, did not believe that the teacher was corrupt and perverted the law, and said to Zhu Yun: "The chancellor is my teacher, what crime should you commit?" Emperor Hancheng immediately ordered the guards to drag Zhu Yun down to hit the board, and Zhu Yun clutched the railing in front of the palace and refused to let go.
Zhu Yun grabbed the railing, removed it, and shouted:
"It is enough for the subject to swim underground from Long Feng and Bigan!" What is the unknown pilgrimage? ”
When Emperor Hancheng heard this, Zhu Yun compared himself to Chengbi Gan, am I not the King of Shangxi? Immediately ordered the people to drag Zhu Yun back, Zhu Yun was covered with a shawl, standing upright, or did not admit guilt. At this time, some ministers could not see it, and the left general Xin Qingji stood up and said to Emperor Hancheng: "Zhu Yun is this person's temper, Your Majesty should not be angry, please forgive him." ”
Emperor Hancheng saw that someone had given him a step down, so he pretended to be angry and said, "I can also see that Zhu Yun is an upright official, you want to be a Bigan, I am not yet the King of Qiu!" Emperor Hancheng pardoned Zhu Yun and thus withdrew. Later, the officials in charge of the palace were preparing to repair the railings, but Emperor Hancheng stopped them. Emperor Hancheng said:
"No easy! Therefore, it is compiled to be a direct subject. ”
After this impeachment, Emperor Hancheng protected his teacher Zhang Yu and did not punish him. Zhang Yu knew that he was wrong and restrained his greedy behavior. Later, Zhang Yu took the initiative to resign from Emperor Hancheng and went home to retire. Zhu Yun never entered the career again, he selected students who were eager to learn, taught them knowledge, and opened an academy. These children were all poor children, and under the education of Zhu Yun, they later became the pillars of the Western Han Empire. Zhu Yun may hope that the ideal that he cannot achieve can be realized by his students.
When Zhu Yun was in his 70s, he was bedridden with a serious illness and may know his physical condition. Zhu Yun did not ask a doctor, nor did he take any more medicine, and died peacefully. Zhu Yun left a last word on his deathbed: "Buried in civilian clothes, the coffin only needs to be accommodated, and the tomb only needs to cover the coffin." ”
On the day of Zhu Yun's burial, his students came to worship him in filial piety, and the students saw the small coffin, which only needed to be carried by two people. His students should understand that when the teacher is dying, he is still teaching them how to behave.
