Hua Tuo, one of the "Three Divine Doctors of Jian'an", also has a name called Hua Xu (fū), which is a metamorphosis. In the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, it is said that he wanted to perform craniotomy for Cao Cao, but was thrown into prison by the suspicious Cao Cao and tortured to death. This is different from the canonical history. The Book of Later Han records that Hua Tuo was also killed by Cao Cao, but the reason was that he did not like to be summoned and did not want to treat Cao Cao at all.
How old Hua Tuo lived, in fact, there is no conclusion. The time of his death is basically certain, but some people believe that Hua Tuo was born in 145 AD, based on the so-called "research", that is to say, he only lived to be sixty-three or four years old. But that's just a guess.
The Book of later Han, which first recorded Hua Tuo, said that Hua Tuo "knew the art of nurturing sex, and when he was a hundred years old, he still had a strong appearance, and when people thought of himself as a fairy." This means that Hua Tuo was nearly a hundred years old when he became famous, but he was proficient in the method of health maintenance and looked like a prime-age person. So people thought he was a god.
Hua Tuo died, and the most regrettable thing is the loss of his medical work "Qingbao Jing", which is a huge loss of ancient Chinese medicine. Given that his medical skills were so miraculous, there were not many amazing secrets in the Qingbao Sutra.
At the end of the distant Eastern Han Dynasty, doctors were not a respectable profession, no different from warlocks. Therefore, the Book of Later Han places Hua Tuo's biography in the "Fang Shu Lie Biography", alongside those mysterious "Fang Shi".
According to historical records, Hua Tuo's medical skills are simply incredible, he can often see at a glance how long the patient's life span is, and sometimes it has nothing to do with the patient's illness. This seems to be beyond the scope of the doctor. Some of the cases he encountered were also extremely strange.
The Chronicle of the Three Kingdoms records many of Hua Tuo's medical practices.
For example, Hua Tuo once walked on the road and met a person with a throat disease. Hua Tuo stepped forward and said to him, "You go to the roadside place where the cakes are sold and drink three bowls of sauerkraut soup, and you will be cured immediately." "The patient will be suspicious, drink the sour soup, actually spit out a small snake, the disease is naturally better."
The problem was that this strange disease seemed common at the time. When the patient went to Hua Tuo's house to thank him, there were two children playing at the door, hua Tuo's son. The little guy saw a snake hanging on the patient's car and said, "This man must have met our father." The patient went to Hua Tuo's house to take a look and found that there were more than a dozen snakes hanging on a wall, the same as the one he spat out.
As for how the snake enters the stomach of a man, it can still survive in it, and it is really puzzling.
Another patient went to Hua Tuo's home to see a doctor, and Hua Tuo said: "Your disease is in the internal organs, you have to cut open your stomach for treatment." But I advise you not to suffer this sin, you can live for ten years, but this disease will not kill you. ”
However, the patient is very uncomfortable and insists on treatment. Hua Tuo operated on him with hemp boiling powder. Hua Tuo also has a magical ointment, after the operation, the wound is applied, and it will be completely healed in a month. The patient's illness was cured. But, as Hua Tuo said, he died ten years later.
Regarding the strange parasitic snake, Hua Tuo also diagnosed an even stranger case. However, this case was recorded in the Jin Dynasty Zhiwei's notebook "Search for God", originally from the lost "Hua Tuo Bei Biography". The Chronicle of the Three Kingdoms, annotated by Pei Song of the Southern Dynasty, and the Book of later Han by Li Xian of the Tang Dynasty, also cite this record.
The article said that Hanoi Taishou Liu Xun has a daughter in her 20s, who has a sore on her left leg, which is not painful but very itchy. Every once in a while, it will have a seizure, seven or eight years, and many doctors can't cure it. Later, Liu Xun sent someone to invite Hua Tuo.
Hua Tuo took one look at it and said, "This disease is easy to cure." Find a rice bran yellow dog and two good horses, and do what I tell you. ”
Liu Xun quickly sent someone to do it. Hua Tuo had the yellow dog's neck tied to a rope and tied the other end to the horse, allowing the rider to run the horse as fast as he could. The first horse was tired of running, so he changed to another horse and continued to run with the dog. About thirty miles later, when the dog can't run, let people drag the dog to continue to hurry, walk fifty miles and then come back.
When the servants were doing these inexplicable things, Hua Tuo let the sick woman drink anesthetics and was unconscious. When the half-dead man and the yellow dog returned, Hua Tuo ordered the man to use a knife to cut open the yellow dog's abdomen near the hind leg, and then put the dog's wound on the sore on the woman's leg, separated by two or three inches.
After a while, something resembling a snake's head popped out of the sore in the woman's leg. Hua Tuo immediately pierced the snake's head with an iron vertebra and pulled it out, which was three feet long. It looks like a snake with eyes but no pupils. He also has two "reverse scale" ears.
Hua Tuo put ointment on the woman's sores, and after seven days they healed.
Regardless of what the snake was, in this case, Hua Tuo seemed to have used some kind of witchcraft. Some people also analyze that Hua Tuo did not use witchcraft, but Zhou Yi and Xiang mathematics. Because Hua Tuo wants rice bran yellow haired dogs, it belongs to the soil, and the two good horses are the noon fire. According to the complex number of easy to learn, Hua Tuo designed a set of incomprehensible diagnosis and treatment plans, and used medicine and easy learning to cure the woman's strange disease.
The problem is that whether there is such a strange disease is really difficult to say.
