For example, the left capital imperial history and the right capital imperial history, it seems that they are only left and right, and there is no difference. But in fact, the power of the left capital imperial history is much greater than that of the right capital imperial history. Then there is this official position, which sounds like a governor, and the official title is also a product, but if it wants to say real power, even the prefect is not necessarily comparable.
A governor is a high official, referring to the de facto or nominal supreme administrator of a relatively autonomous region of a country. Zuo Zongtang, Li Hongzhang, and Zhang Zhidong all served as governors of Huguang, Huguang, Liangguang, and so on. Generally speaking, the rank of the governor is Zheng erpin (正二品), but by concurrently serving as a soldier, the official title can be changed from Yipin (一品). However, the governor had great power, managing several provinces, not to mention, and also managing military affairs and economy in addition to government affairs.
In contrast, the name Oftidore sounds similar to that of Governor, but the power is far worse, and the full name of The Viceroy is Admiral Military Commander. This is the official name of a military official, and according to historical records, the admiral appeared during the Wanli period. Generally speaking, during the Qing Dynasty, there were only twelve land admirals in the country, and three by water. The three waterways are the Admiral of Fujian, the Admiral of Guangdong, and the Admiral of the Yangtze River, all of which are from Yipin.
This official position can be said to be a feudal official, but the area they control is only one province or two provinces, which is far from the beginning of the governor's two provinces. At the same time, it can be represented by the inspector, and it is a world of difference to say that it is really a word difference. The viceroy was subject to the viceroy everywhere, and there were regulations in the Qing Dynasty. Regardless of land or water, as long as it is the place under the jurisdiction of the Governor, the officers and soldiers can be under the jurisdiction of the Governor, even the Governor himself.
Not only that, but even the local governor was not even as good as the prefect, and the prefect was four pins. In terms of official rank, it is far inferior to the admiral, but it can give the emperor a secret fold, that is, whoever does something illegal can make a small report with the emperor. But the Admiral did not, and they could not tell the Emperor if they had been wronged. Then there is the official appraisal, which is the object of the appraisal of the governor or the inspector when the official is evaluated. It is equivalent to being examined by someone who is one level younger than himself, which is really humiliating.
So, what is it for? In fact, the officers and soldiers who rule over land or water are not as good as the governors, but they are also the highest officials in charge of the green camps in the provinces. In this way, it seems that its power is still relatively large, but this is only the beginning, and later because the power is too large, the emperor is taboo. In the middle and late period, the Emperor of the Qing Dynasty began to reduce the power of it, and finally simply became an idle.
The idleness can be seen in one word, the Nine-Door Admiral, which looks loud. In fact, it is the master of the gatekeeper, and the full name of the Nine Gate Admiral is the Commander of the Five Battalions of the Nine Gate Infantry Patrol, and there is also a title of the Commander of the Infantry. This is the Military Attaché of the Qing Dynasty stationed in Beijing, established in the thirteenth year of the Kangxi Dynasty (1674), with one duty, to take care of the nine gates of Beijing. At the same time, the Nine Gate Admiral was also responsible for night patrols, fire fighting, compiling and protecting armor, banning, arresting, and breaking prisons.
Of course, from another point of view, the nine-door admiral protects the emperor, and the power is still relatively large. Therefore, in fact, the position of admiral belongs to the bright ascension and dark demotion, and the official rank is high, and there is no real power. Of course, all this is for the emperor's position to be more stable, after all, the imperial power is supreme.
