Emperor: How old can I live? Fortune teller: Live 1 day more than me, Emperor: Kill him

Ancient China was very superstitious, so in ancient times, a slightly more advanced xiangshi was still relatively popular. Generally speaking of Xiangshi, you may think of Taoists or metaphysics, but in fact, this is still slightly different, Xiangshi is mainly for people to see the face. It was said well in the emperor and the magnates that they would give many rewards if they were happy. It is not good to say that it may be that the magnates want the life of the Xiangshi. Zhu Yuanzhang once asked a Xiangshi how long he could live, and the answer given to him by the fortune teller was to live one more day than me, this statement was to save his own life, who knew that Zhu Yuanzhang turned his head and said that he dragged it out and cut it.

Zhu Yuanzhang was born on October 29, 1328, and everyone knows that he was born into a very poor background, and he experienced all the hardships experienced by ordinary people during that period. He lost both parents at a young age, worked as a cowherd and a monk. But the god of fate gave him an unexpected choice: to become the ruler of a country. In the twelfth year of Zhengzheng (1352), Zhu Yuanzhang, who had just joined Guo Zixing's hands, may not have imagined that from this moment on, a future dynasty would slowly develop from his hands.

At that time, the world's rebel armies were everywhere, and Zhu Yuanzhang, who had become independent from Guo Zixing, had not received much attention. In the chaotic world, there are always some who want to happen. In the thirteenth year of Zhengzheng (1353), Zhu Yuanzhang, who had independently returned to his hometown to recruit troops, took in Xu Da, Zhou Dexing and other young friends, and in the winter, Zhu Yuanzhang left Haozhou with his confidant Xu Da and Tang He and twenty-four others and went south.

On the way south to Chuzhou, he met Li Shanchang, who was already quite famous at that time, wise and strategic. I have been reading poetry since I was a child, and I expect things to be quite accurate. When he surrendered to Zhu Yuanzhang, Zhu Yuanzhang asked him when the world would be at peace? The answer given by Li Shanchang was: During the war and chaos in the late Qin Dynasty, Han Gaozu rose from among the people, relying on the knowledge of people and good use. Never kill people indiscriminately, and achieve great things in five years. Today, the world of the Yuan Dynasty is like the world of the Qin Dynasty, if you learn from Han Gaozu, the world will soon be pacified.

Listening to these words, Zhu Yuanzhang felt very reasonable. So Li Shanchang became Zhu Yuanzhang's staff officer with many years of fame and these words, and Zhu Yuanzhang asked Li Shanchang about many major matter decisions. Li Shanchang's deeds were soon passed on, there were so many rebel armies, everyone was choosing their own masters, generally speaking, for these people who came to rely on, many people may just put them where they are, and they can use them. Soon after, a Xiangshi also wanted to come to Zhu Yuanzhang to visit here, probably thinking of making a profit, or being appreciated when Zhu Yuanzhang achieved hegemony in the future.

At this time, it was just when Zhu Yuanzhang attacked Chuzhou, and this Xiangshi arrived the day before Zhu Yuanzhang attacked, and he was slapping his ass in the army. Basically, according to the set of everyone patting their asses and avoiding lightning, Zhu Yuanzhang heard that he was also more interested in this xiangshi, so he called him over. After the meeting, Zhu Yuanzhang asked this xiangshi: Since you can premeditate what will happen after that, how long can you tell me how long I can live?

This Xiangshi first pretended to stare at Zhu Yuanzhang's face and hands carefully, and then thought for a while. Zhu Yuanzhang's generals looked as if he was really telling fortunes, and soon after this xiangshi told Zhu Yuanzhang: "Live one more day than me." Looking at it this way, it seems that his words did not touch the thunder, after all, he did not say that Zhu Yuanzhang had a short life. However, zhu Yuanzhang made an unexpected move after hearing this, and he asked his subordinates to drag this Xiangshi out and behead him.

In fact, the reason for thinking about it is also very simple, Zhu Yuanzhang was born into poverty since childhood, and has always been a practical person. His advisers Liu Bowen and Li Shanchang were not able to make good decisions, and this xiangshi was really nothing in comparison. Moreover, Zhu Yuanzhang is not so superstitious to a certain extent, he has experienced a lot of suffering, and practical this kind is more important in his eyes. The generals were still a little worried about Xiang Shi's words, but the next day when they saw that Zhu Yuanzhang was still alive and well, they put their hearts at ease.

Although the later Zhu Yuanzhang also had times of danger, he persevered in the end. In the first year of Hongwu (1368), Zhu Yuanzhang was proclaimed emperor in Nanjing, with the national name Daming and the era name Hongwu. The group of people who followed Lao Zhu to fight the world were indeed reused at the beginning, but most of them did not end up with a good end later. Li Sunchang, the Duke of Korea, was executed in the case of Hu Weiyong in the twenty-third year of Hongwu (1390), and Liu Bowen died of illness in the second half of the eighth year of Hongwu (1375) after Hu Weiyong's visit with medicine, and Hu Weiyong was acquiesced by Zhu Yuanzhang.
