From 0 to 24:00 on January 7, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 159 new confirmed cases. Among them, there were 64 imported cases (32 cases in Shanghai, 7 cases in Guangdong, 6 cases in Tianjin, 6 cases in Guangxi, 4 cases in Fujian, 3 cases in Hunan, 3 cases in Yunnan, 1 case in Liaoning, 1 case in Henan, 1 case in Sichuan), including 7 cases from asymptomatic infected people to confirmed cases (3 cases in Hunan, 1 case in Fujian, 1 case in Henan, 1 case in Guangxi, 1 case in Sichuan), 95 cases in local cases (46 cases in Shaanxi, all in Xi'an City; 43 cases in Henan, including 24 cases in Zhengzhou City, 18 cases in Xuchang City, 1 case in Zhoukou City, 4 cases in Zhejiang, Among them, there are 3 cases in Ningbo City, 1 case in Jinhua City, and 2 cases in Guangdong City, both in Shenzhen City). There were no new deaths. There was 1 new suspected case, which was imported from abroad (in Shanghai).

On the same day, 151 new cured and discharged cases were cured, 5578 close contacts were released from medical observation, and the number of severe cases decreased by 3 cases compared with the previous day.

There are 1,004 confirmed cases imported from overseas (including 3 severe cases) and 1 suspected case. The cumulative number of confirmed cases is 11,555, the cumulative number of cured and discharged cases is 10,551, and there are no deaths.

As of 24:00 on January 7, according to reports from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, there are 3,367 confirmed cases (including 27 severe cases), 95,451 cured and discharged cases, 4,636 cumulative deaths, 103454 confirmed cases and 1 suspected case. A total of 1446939 close contacts have been traced, and 39,276 close contacts are still under medical observation.

31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 52 new cases of asymptomatic infection, including 46 cases imported from abroad and 6 cases from the mainland (5 cases in Shanghai, all in Pudong New Area; 1 case in Henan, in Shangqiu City); 7 cases turned into confirmed cases on the same day (all imported from abroad); 16 cases were released from medical observation on the same day (15 cases imported from abroad); and 661 cases of asymptomatic infected people who were still under medical observation (628 cases imported from abroad).

A total of 30,086 confirmed cases were reported from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Among them, there were 12,749 cases in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (12,235 cases discharged from hospital, 213 deaths), 79 cases in Macao Special Administrative Region (77 cases discharged from hospital), and 17,258 cases in Taiwan Region (13,742 cases discharged from hospital, 850 deaths).
