Falling flowers unintentionally Flowing water has feelings

- Small talk about my amateur writing

Hu Yanbing

"Chongqing Evening News" set up a column "Me and Literature" to collect the literary dreams that literary friends and teachers have made and the literary road they have traveled. It's interesting and it makes sense. Since the first issue of Beijing Literature in 2021, it has opened a "Cultural Observation" column: "Literary Classics, How to Affect Your Life".

Life is a big topic, and both columns have captured the heart of a literature lover. The articles published in the two columns are very exciting. In particular, Mao Yinpeng, the author of "Lifelong Companionship with Lu Xun Classics" (Beijing Literature, No. 10), quoted Mr. Lu Xun as saying: "The selection of materials should be strict, the excavation should be deep, and a little trivial and uninteresting accident should not be filled in into one article to create a rich self-enjoyment." These words can poke at the heart of me, a person who is "late to start and slow to start".

I have been officially introductory to the Writers Association for 8 years, and in the past I used to read something, which happened to coincide with some kind of experience of my own, and immediately I had a feeling and made up a thousand-word essay. My heart is full of pride, and lo and behold, I'm not bad! Another one was completed. Immediately go to the local submission, hoping to get the approval of the editor. I didn't get recognition, and I was slightly unhappy in my heart. Fortunately, I have also done a small editor in my spare time, and I can understand, although I am not happy, I do not complain, and then look elsewhere. This year can not come out, next year to revise and re-vote, I think it is interesting, insist on continuing to invest on the basis of revision. I just had a manuscript that came out three years later. At that time, I was even more stealing music, full of energy, and walking was light and fluttery.

Not long ago, I attended a readers' meeting in Chongqing for Mr. Ah Lai, the new vice chairman of the China Writers Association and chairman of the Sichuan Writers Association, and he had a sentence that impressed me particularly: "Writers should suppress inspiration." I nodded my head and thought to myself, the great writer cherishes his feathers, and refuses to write easily, and is not willing to easily make short chapters. As the saying goes, "You have to make the whole big guys." Oh my God, his words are certainly correct for everyone and his big strokes.

But we amateur authors, can have a little inspiration, surprises are too late, eager to immediately search for dry intestines, can have more material, immediately write. If you can think of it, I'm afraid I'm sleeping, I can't help myself, I immediately turn over and get out of bed, afraid that the inspiration will run away, and I will never find it again! How can it be suppressed?

But his words still gave me some hints. So when I saw the "I and Literature" call for papers, I immediately thought, this is not for me. Because since I joined the South Bank District Writers Association in 2013, the so-called "achievements" I have achieved are lackluster, and I can't trace the past: flowers fall unintentionally, literature has no dreams.

Learn mathematics, physics and chemistry well, and walk all over the world without fear. I was trained as a science student and dreamed of becoming a scientist. Therefore, in his sophomore year, he began to prepare for the graduate school of the Institute of Genetics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the direction was to engage in genetic engineering that everyone now understands. Two of the four subjects are self-taught, one of which is one point past, one point is missing, and one point is missing. The school that could be admitted did not report volunteers, and the Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences agreed to "train" me, but I did not agree to leave home. As a result, he did not have a chance with graduate school for life.

Reading fiction in college? That's unthinkable! But before my sophomore year, I loved to read magazines, especially youth magazines such as China Youth. At that time, it was very fashionable to make card excerpts, and I would take notes of anything I didn't know. The hobby broke down for the next two years. Of course, it did not recover later. Later, after deliberately collecting information, I took notes in a notebook. In 2018, I participated in the evening newspaper symposium and sent an interview book, which is still being recorded (there are many books, and occasionally some are written on it). Now it's more about taking electronic notes, and it's easy to cite.

When did you start sending tofu chunks? It should have started in a unit engaged in work of a propaganda nature, roughly in 2003, in the "Baiwei" column of Chongqing Business Daily, no more than 300 words. At that time, due to the needs of my work, I found the support of Zhao Yu, a young prose writer. She saw my "tofu block" and encouraged me to write more. So I began to pay attention to and collect literature articles.

Ten years later, I was in a relatively relaxed unit and had more time to read books and newspapers. Occasionally write a little reflection article. Ms. Zhao Yu continued to encourage me and introduced me to the District Writers Association. That's why I made writing an important part of my amateur life.

My primitive accumulation is pitifully small. The Chinese textbooks of the 1970s were more like political textbooks, and the literary flavor was very weak if there was any. Broken four old so many things can not be seen. As written in the afterword to "Chen Ran the Advancer", the first literary work I read should be "Red Flag Spectrum" without a cover. And I learned a few years ago that the writer is Liang Bin...

Mr. Feng Jicai said in an article that he believed, "Whoever has been the unfortunate person in life has the conditions to become the lucky one of literature; whoever lets the evil waters of life wash over and over again may become a blessed general who looks bright." When life has plundered you recklessly, it will give you literature. Literature is the bitter fruit of life, even if it has a sweet taste. ”

My generation as a whole is very lucky, and there are not many bitter fruits in life. As Mr. Feng said, this determines that I can't shine. But personal life experiences have been unsmooth, and I have experienced some things in the middle of my life, and there are still some "chicken and dog pieces" that can be thought about and recorded. The only thing we can't do is complain about life, but instead thank life for giving us thoughts and gains.

We have encountered a good era, how to sing the song in our hearts, how to put down the pen in our hands, how to walk the road under our feet, and how to make the strength in our bodies? Think more clearly.

Write as you learn, learn by writing. Happiness goes hand in hand in the effort, just fine.
