Tian Peng, deputy head of the Beijing regiment of the congress

In the past five years, ten Beijing writers have won the fourth prize of the China Writers Association

According to Tian Peng, in the five years since the Ninth National Congress of the China Writers Association in 2016, Beijing has launched a number of high-quality literary works. In 2018, the works of four Beijing writers, including Shi Yifeng, won the 7th Lu Xun Literature Award of the China Writers Association; in 2019, Xu Zechen's novel "Going North" won the 15th "Five One Project" Award of the Central Propaganda Department for the Construction of Spiritual Civilization, and won the 10th Mao Dun Literature Award together with Li Er's novel "Brother Ying Wu"; in 2021, the works of four Beijing writers, including Zhou Xiaofeng and Ge Jing, won the 11th National Outstanding Children's Literature Award.

In addition, Beijing literature also has a wonderful performance in the creation of fine works on major themes. For example, around the theme of the centenary of the founding of the party, a number of literary masters such as Liang Xiaosheng and Liu Qingbang, special guests of the Beijing Writers Association, stood in the dimension of Beijing and wrote the history of the century-old Beijing party in a literary way. Tian Peng said that there are also related works such as the theme of poverty alleviation and the theme of the Winter Olympics. With a strong sense of responsibility and mission, writers jointly build the Chinese dream and record the new era.

The introduction of "reward measures" has urged Beijing literature to climb from the plateau to the peak

It is worth mentioning that on November 30 this year, the Beijing Writers Network issued the "Implementation Measures for the Reward of Literary Creation of the Beijing Municipal Federation of Literature and Literature", which rewarded 1 million yuan for members of the Beijing Writers Association or students of the Laoshe Literature Institute who won the Mao Dun Literature Award; 200,000 yuan for works that won the Lu Xun Literature Award, the National Excellent Children's Literature Award, and the National Ethnic Minority Literature Horse Award; and 30,000 yuan for long works (works with more than 130,000 words).

Regarding the introduction of this "reward method", Tian Peng said that this is to encourage Beijing writers to create more excellent works. "Beijing's creative achievements in recent years are very good, and the establishment of this reward mechanism is to make Beijing's literary creation climb from the plateau to the peak." For example, the state award for the Mao Dun Literature Award is 500,000 yuan, and the Beijing writer who wins this award can also receive a reward of 1 million yuan from Beijing After receiving the award; and so on, the Lu Award national award is 100,000, and we reward 200,000 yuan. ”

Tian Peng also said that in fact, before the introduction of the "Reward Measures", the Beijing Writers Association already had a support policy for contracted writers. If a contracted writer's work passes the review, a certain reward will be given. Now there is the "Reward Measures" and the reward mechanism for creation has been improved. Contracted writers whose work is of high quality can be awarded both at the same time. "The purpose of this is only one, that is, to encourage everyone to launch more and better works and promote the prosperity and development of Beijing literature."
