In the summer of that year, in Changsha, which is known as a stove, I really couldn't survive, so I escaped, and with the help of my friends, I lived in a mountain village in Yunnan.

One day, I got a phone call. The caller was an amateur author in my hometown. His name is Wu Center. On the phone, he told me that in recent years, he has published more than a dozen novellas and short stories in authoritative publications such as People's Literature, Beijing Literature, Furong, and Qingming. Many of his works have also been selected by publications such as "Selected Novellas" and "Works and Controversies". Listening, I am really happy for the achievements of this literary peer in my hometown. At the end, he timidly asked me, can I recommend him to join the Chinese Writers Association?

I've been following him for years. According to his creative performance, it is time to enter our team. So he readily agreed. But when I think about it, I am embarrassed again. At that time, I was in remote Yunnan, how to write a recommendation on his membership application form? After a pause, he said: Can you write a text message, take a picture with your phone, and send it to him? In this way, this peasant man who came out of the mountains walked into the ranks of our writers with his head held high...

The name Wu Center first entered my heart through a work. It was the early 1980s, and in a magazine, I saw a short story about the life of a small coal kiln in Xiangzhou, which caught my attention. The author is Wu Zhongxin. I used to be a coal miner. Perhaps it was the sentiment of "coal" that made me remember the name firmly. Since then, I have paid attention to his "movements" and paid attention to his works published in various newspapers and periodicals. In 1988, in a national agricultural theme creation essay award, his short story "Land", won the first prize, and was highly praised by the jury of this essay. The famous writer Cong Weixi also wrote a special article to give promotion.

Behind these auras of his, there is a hard road. He was born in 1961 in a poor mountain village in Lianyuan, Central Hunan Province. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the army and became a soldier in the People's Liberation Army. After demobilization, he first worked as a secretary in the township government, and then worked at the township cultural station and the county cultural center. He spent all his time reading and writing. In the townships, I didn't even have paper for writing. He poured out the fiery emotions in his heart on the old newspapers and the waste envelopes. Later, when he found the manuscript paper printed with plaids, he copied it neatly and neatly and sent it to the newspapers and periodicals of the metropolis of his choice.

Where there is hard work, there will be harvest. After years and decades of hard work, this man who came out of the mountains finally broke into the literary kingdom he longed for. The name of Wu Center has frequently appeared in some major newspapers and periodicals. In the early years, he published a collection of short and medium stories, and two more novels appeared. In recent years, he has ushered in his second harvest. It has been said that he is beginning to sort out these short and medium stories distributed in various publications, and intends to publish a second collection in a collection... When these news came, I was always happy about the achievements of this literary friend in my hometown.

After returning to Hunan from Yunnan that year, he asked many friends to invite me and wanted to ask me to have a dinner with some friends. Either this is not the case, or it is inconvenient, and it has not been able to achieve the wish. I was still waiting in my heart for the opportunity to have dinner with him. Suddenly, the news came: he was far away. His family said he was too obsessed with literature and that he was exhausted for his creations. This year, he is only 58 years old, which is the prime of the year!

He was gone, and the second collection of short stories he had begun to edit was not published. This became his last wish. He should be left with no regrets in the world. I joined his friends in appealing. Finally, it received strong support from the Hunan Provincial Literature and Art Support Foundation and the Changjiang Literature and Art Publishing House. Soon, this collection of his works, which he has distributed in various newspapers and periodicals in recent years, will be concentrated in front of readers. I think it would be very gratifying to see my new book in the center of heaven!
