Ningbo, January 7 (Li Dian, Lu Qiwen) On the first day of 2022, the epidemic suddenly hit Beilun, Ningbo, Zhejiang, and immediately launched a Level I emergency response. With the orderly development of prevention and control work, Beilun ushered in 45 "anti-epidemic babies" in 7 days, removing the haze of the epidemic and bringing hope for life.

Beilun District People's Hospital (Beilun Branch of Zhejiang University First Hospital) is the largest medical institution in Beilun Area, and due to the epidemic situation, the delivery of pregnant women and the treatment of high-risk pregnant women in Beilun District have been concentrated here.

Due to the strong professionalism of maternal management, the obstetrics department of Beilun District People's Hospital still dispatched a doctor and two nurses to the isolation unit under the condition of tight personnel, and was fully responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of pregnant women and high-risk pregnant women in the sealing and control area.

On the evening of January 4, the first "anti-epidemic baby" in the isolation unit fell to the ground, and the loud cries of the newborn echoed in the corridor of the isolation unit. Zhou Lei, the doctor in charge of delivery, did not have time to feel this happy moment, and then rushed to take care of another mother in the isolation unit.

About 3 hours later, in the negative pressure operating room, a high-risk woman with gestational hypertension and scarring of the uterus successfully delivered a healthy newborn by caesarean section.

"The preparation for negative pressure surgery is not much different from ordinary surgery, but it is necessary to do a good job of personnel protection." In the past two years, under the guidance of the teachers of the infection management department in the hospital, we have become familiar with these preparations. Lin Ling, the head nurse of the operating room, said that the difficulty of negative pressure surgery lies in postoperative disinfection and cleaning, in addition to the heavy workload and physical exertion of cleaning in protective clothing, a surgery in the negative pressure operating room should be disinfected once, and the disinfection process after each use has to start in 3 hours.

From January 1 to 10:00 on January 7, 45 "anti-epidemic babies" have been born in beilun District People's Hospital, of which 6 have been born in isolation units. (End)
