At 7:30 p.m. on January 4, a loud cry broke through the night sky, and a baby boy weighing more than nine kilograms was born in the patient isolation unit of the sealing and control area of beilun district people's hospital (Beilun branch of Zhejiang University First Hospital). The mother of the "nine-pound baby" was the first of the three women in the sealing area to give birth in the isolation unit.
Because of the sudden emergence of the epidemic, pregnant women in Beilun District were concentrated in beilun District People's Hospital. On January 2, a pregnant woman in the sealing and control area needed to be hospitalized for delivery for 4 days after exceeding the expected date of delivery, and after contacting the obstetric department, she was sent to the Beilun District People's Hospital by special car for independent management.

The hospital sent obstetrician Zhang Liuyan and prenatal nurses Liu Jinhua and Zhou Lei to escort the mother and baby. After a detailed evaluation by the doctor, oxytocin injections were given for midwifery on 4 January. Accompanied by doctors and nurses from morning to night, the mother gave birth to a 4.6kg baby at 7:30 p.m. that night. This is also the first "anti-epidemic baby" in Beilun under this round of epidemic, and the loud crying brings new hope to the fight against the epidemic. The obstetrician in the isolation unit will work with the baby's mother to take care of the newborn.
