F1 enters Hollywood! The "Top Gun" team joins Brad Pitt as the male lead

F1 fans can go to the cinema to see big movies!

F1 enters Hollywood, US media reported that Apple has negotiated with Brad Pitt to play the leading role in F1 movies. In addition to Apple, entertainment giants including Amazon, Disney, Netflix, Paramount and Sony are also interested in participating in the project.

The name of the film has not yet been announced, and it is reported that the 58-year-old Pitt will play an elderly driver who returns to the field after retirement, helping a young driver grow up and once again chasing his dream on the track.

Previous racing-themed films, such as Rush, have been based on the showdown between James Hunt and Nicky Lauda. Le Mans 66 was based on the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2019 and won the 2020 Academy Award for Best Sound Editing and Best Editing, the first motorsport film in 53 years to win an Oscar.

Unlike previous racing movies based on true stories, the film will tell a purely fictional story. And the producers are also looking forward to F1 to achieve similar achievements in Hollywood, after all, F1's influence and star effect are more obvious.

The project's current lead producer is Jerry Bruckheimer, whose masterpieces include Pearl Harbor, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Daredevil Island. In 1990 he worked as a film producer set in Nascar racing.

The director is also tentatively joseph Kosinski (Joseph Kosinski) and the screenwriter is Ehren Kruger (Iren Kruger), both of whom have worked on blockbusters such as Top Gun. The film's budget reached nearly $140 million.

Lead actor Pete is also an avid racing fan who has voiced MotoGP documentaries and launched the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016. It is said that 7-time world champion Hamilton will also make a cameo appearance.

Looking at the production team and the main cast, one can expect an exciting high-quality F1 movie.
