Bandai Namco today announced that Ace Combat 7: Unknown Airspace will release aircraft DLC content linked to the movie Top Gun 2: Lone Ranger. The DLC will go live this spring, when you'll be able to play with the new aircraft linked to the movie, with more details to be announced later.
Ace Combat 7: Unknown Airspace landed on the PS4 and Xbox One platforms in January 2019 (the PC version of the game was released a month later), followed by a season-pass paid DLC content and various free updates that added new missions, planes, skins, and more to the game.
Ace Combat 7: Unknown Airspace has now sold more than 3 million copies, and the development team is currently preparing for the next installment in the series. Brand Director Kazutoki Kono has confirmed that the new game will be developed using Unreal Engine 5. ICLA, the developer who has worked on Pokémon: Crystal Diamond/Brilliant Pearl, will also be involved in the development of the new game to support it. We also hope to hear about the new titles in the Ace Combat series this year.
