British studio Space Entertainment Enterprise (SEE), co-founded by producers Elena and Dmitry Lesnevsky, reportedly signed a contract with Axiom to build the base, called SEE-1, which will be "the world's first space content and entertainment studio."

According to reports, the SEE-1 module is scheduled to be launched by Axiom in December 2024. Michael Suffredini, president and CEO of Axiom, said in a statement: "Adding a dedicated entertainment venue to Axiom Station's commercial capabilities in the form of SEE-1 will expand the station's role as a global user platform." ”

In an email to CNBC, a SEE spokesperson said the company was "working on an upcoming Tom Cruise movie in space." Tom Cruise has yet to publicly comment on the space film.
