The site of the Ancient Tomb of the Warring States of Zhangguizhuang was found in the south five miles of Zhangguizhuang, the south side of the Jintang Highway, and the north of Cuijia Wharf, where there is a long north-south strip of Beigang, and the ground is scattered with a large number of clam shells and snail shells, which are called "clams and crumbs" by local residents. Apparently, these ancient tombs are located on the third shell embankment on the xiaowangzhuang-Zhangguizhuang-Cuijia wharf line, which was still a vast ocean three thousand years ago.

According to the analysis, these tombs belong to the middle period before the Warring States and have a typical Yan style. As a result, Tianjin's "no ancient" thesis was broken, so that Tianjin's scientific archaeological work touched on the west coast of Bohai Bay and the process of Tianjin's land formation from the beginning. With this as the starting point, the archaeological work of Shangzhou, Neolithic and Paleolithic sites such as Zhangjiayuan, Weifang, Qingchi, Dongyingfang and Chaoyangdong in Jixian County has been carried out successively, dating back to 3500, 5000, 6000, 8000, 10,000 and 100,000 years, and the humanistic history of Tianjin has been continuously refreshed, constantly extending the axis of Tianjin's history.

This landmark Warring States tomb group in the archaeological history of Tianjin and the history of urban humanities has long been backfilled. Today, 60 years later, the area around Zhangguizhuang has also become a bustling urban area. However, the Dongli District Museum still restores and preserves a vertical cave tomb and skeletons, and more than ten excavated cultural relics.
