After Samsung launched the long-overdue Galaxy S21 "Fan Edition" smartphone during CES 2022, the @_SnoopyTech_ also released a euro offer for the Galaxy S22 series of smart phones on Twitter. Looking back at 2020, Samsung set a starting price of up to $999 for the Galaxy S20 series, but market reaction suggests that this decision is rather unwise. Then on the 2021 Galaxy S21 series, the company finally changed the starting price to $799.

It was rumored earlier that the Galaxy S22 standard model would sell for $799, but if that's the case, the $699 Galaxy S21 FE is a bit undervalued.
However, the new revelations @_SnoopyTech_ still poured a basin of cold water on eagerly awaited Samsung fans - leaking the price implied that the Galaxy S22 may be more expensive than the Galaxy S21 series, especially the Galaxy S22 Ultra flagship model.

Even the mobile phone supply chain has also suffered from out-of-stock price increases, and Samsung is still trying to reduce the price of the new 2021 folding screen machine. At the same time, Apple's iPhone 13 basically maintained the pricing strategy of the iPhone 12 series, and the Google Pixel 6 was as low as $599.
But we still find it a little difficult to understand the newly leaked offer. The Galaxy S22/ S22+ with 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM starts at 912 / 1119 euros, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra with 12GB RAM + 256GB ROM is as high as 1430 euros.

Of course, the EU market is accustomed to including value-added tax (VAT) when quoting, but the US market is accustomed to marking pre-tax prices. According to Italian blogger Tutto Android, the Galaxy S22 / S22+ is about 40 to 50% higher than the previous generation.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra may be even more outrageous, or a premium of around 100 over the previous model. For reference, the local iPhone 13/13 Pro starts at 939/1189 Euros and the pre-tax quote for the US market is $829/999.
