Ubisoft's latest shooter, Rainbow Six: Xenomorph, announced today that it debuts to join XGP/PGP! Xbox and PC players can play the game on the first day of release for a small subscription fee. It is reported that this is the first AAA game under Ubisoft to join the game pass for the first time.
However, while Rainbow Six: Xenomorph will also land on Sony's PlayStation platform, there is currently no XGP-like subscription service on the PS. Ubisoft+'s subscription service will only support the Xbox platform, not the PS platform. Therefore, PS players must purchase at the original price to play "Color Six Xenomorphs".
Some PS players are frustrated that Sony is lagging behind in this regard, not only does the PS not have a subscription service like XGP, but the first-party game of the PS5 is also priced at $70, which is more expensive than before; they hope that Sony can launch its own new subscription service as soon as possible (the current PS+ will be free of service lineup is limited).
Previously, it was revealed that Sony had plans to launch a "Spartacus" subscription service similar to XGP as an upgraded version of the current PS+ membership; but to this day, Sony has not officially confirmed this revelation. Some players suspect that Sony is unable to support this very expensive service model.
It's worth mentioning that if you pre-ordered Rainbow Six: Xenomorph on Xbox before, you can now refund it directly and play it directly with XGP; however, the XGP version does not include pre-order bonuses and deluxe version bonuses.
Color Six Xenomorphs is a 1-3 player cooperative FPS that also supports single-player play, with a total of 90 weapons and equipment, 18 customizable special agents, 12 large maps, 13 mission types, 13 different forms of enemies, and free content after the game is officially launched. Xbox, PS and PC platforms can be interconnected and data interoperable across platforms.
Rainbow Six: Xenomorph will go on sale on January 20.
