Intel plans to allow users to control their own iPhones with laptops by the end of 2022

Webmaster's House (ChinaZ.com) Jan. 5 News: Intel announced at the just-concluded CES2022 conference that it will allow users to control their iPhones from laptops, with high-performance Evo-branded PCs enabling this in 2022.

As the chip industry looks for innovation outside of Intel, Intel must offer some interesting features to entice consumers to buy upgraded systems. In the 2022 CES stage demonstration, the iPhone seems likely to be part of the plan.

Based on the technology of Screennovate, which was recently acquired by Intel, Intel plans to use its device control system on Evo-branded PCs. The system effectively allows users to send documents and files to their iPhone from their PC desktop, as well as send and receive text messages and participate in iMessage conversations.

The system is also capable of extracting health data such as heart rate and ECG results from the Apple Watch connected to the iPhone. Another demo shows the possibility of using an Android tablet as a second screen for a PC, similar to the Apple SideCar, but it's unclear if iPad users can use it in the same way.

While the feature will initially be available on a handful of high-performance Evo PCs, Intel clearly intends to extend the system to other PCs using Intel CPUs after launching in late 2022.
