Zhang Qingrou, assistant researcher of the Institute of Literature of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, cut from the "drama criticism poems" in modern Shanghai, and analyzed the modern Shanghai depicted in the old style poems represented by the "drama criticism poems" from three aspects: spiritual sustenance, realistic protection, and the era of traditional writing. "Drama criticism poems appeared in the Ming Dynasty, which were not mainstream themes in the past, and some people in the late Ming Dynasty also wrote their own poems to watch plays, and in modern Shanghai, drama criticism poems formed a rich collection.
