On January 4, 2022, when Mengyin County routinely conducted nucleic acid testing on overseas returnees from centralized isolation points, a person with a positive nucleic acid test for the new coronavirus was found.
On December 14, 2021, the person entered Shanghai from Japan by flight and quarantined for 14 days at the centralized isolation point for visitors outside Shanghai, during which 6 nucleic acid tests were negative. After the isolation was lifted on December 28, he returned to Linyi by bus that night, and was immediately connected by a special car to the centralized isolation point in our county for isolation and observation. The nucleic acid tests were negative on December 29 and 30, the initial screening of nucleic acid tests on January 4, 2022 was positive, and the municipal nucleic acid retest was positive on January 5. Based on the epidemiological history, clinical manifestations and laboratory test results, the expert group determined that it was a confirmed case of new coronary pneumonia (ordinary type). At present, the patient is being isolated and treated in a municipal designated medical institution, and all close contacts have been traced and managed.
