At today's CES 2022, Sony unveiled the detailed specifications of the PS VR2, as well as the new grip Sense Controller that accompanies it.
PS VR2 supports 4K HDR, 110-degree field of view and fixation rendering, uses AN OLED screen, resolution of 2000*4000, 90/120 frame rate.
By integrating the headset's camera, the PS VR2 is able to track the player and the gamepad. The direction the player moves and gazes are reflected in the game, without the need for additional cameras.
PS VR2 "Sense Technology" includes eye tracking, headset feedback, 3D sound, and the "innovative" Sense Controller for deep immersion. With eye tracking, the PS VR2 is able to detect eye movements and "simply glance in a specific direction to enter a command in the game."
Sense Controller supports adaptive trigger and haptic feedback.
Sony said that through a single data cable connection, players can connect PS5 and PS VR2 and immediately enter the VR world.
At present, the price of PS VR2 has not been disclosed.
