And the person who wrote this couplet was a loyal courtier who stood firm in the late Qing Dynasty, Zuo Zongtang. He gave so much to that war-torn era.
And such a figure, one hundred and fifty years ago, built a village in a deep mountain, but in 2019, there is only one family left in this village? The reason for this still has to be explained.
Withered village
The village, now located in a place in Xihaigu, Ningxia, was named Exclusive Village. It was hidden deep in the mountains, where only one family was now left in Madhay. Near Madhei's home, it is shrouded in ruins one after another.
These ruins can still be faintly seen, once upon a time there should have been people living, but it has been uninhabited for too long, resulting in the fact that now the rain is washed away, and the mud gradually covers these houses, so that they have changed from new houses to dirty ruins. The source of the village
One of the most important characters for the birth of this village is Zuo Zongtang. At the end of the nineteenth century, Zuo Zongtang led the Xiang army to Shaanxi and Gansu to quell the war. After some efforts by Zuo Zongtang and his subordinates. Thus, seven years later, the campaign ended with the victory of the Qing army.
This period also coincided with the struggle between radicals and conservatives in the Western affairs movement. Zuo Zongtang was a member of the radical faction, so as a member of the radical faction, he had a strong interest in recovering Xinjiang.
Empress Dowager Cixi also chose to support the radicals and agreed to their idea of recovering Xinjiang. So in April of the following year, Zuo Zongtang led his troops on the road to recover Xinjiang. So on the basis of recovering Xinjiang, many people have nowhere to go because of this war. So Zuo Zongtang concentrated them in this area of Xihaigu. Named it an exclusive village.
Everyone began to live here, but it was not happy. Every family began to settle down here, and gradually everyone laughed and laughed, and finally there was a trace of human smell in the depths of this mountain. But gradually over time, not knowing what caused it, the people of this village slowly left the place.
The relocation of the village
A few years before the village became like this, it was still a large village with more than 4,000 people. So why did the village end up so lifeless? In fact, the reason for this is very understandable, the reason for this is first of all the ecological and environmental reasons, this side is located in the remote area of Xinjiang, the soil quality is not good, most of the residents here are living on farming, and the quality of the soil and the yield of their own production crops are closely related.
Therefore, the ecological environment is not good and the economic conditions are not good. The last reason is that the communication conditions are not good. Originally, there was still China Mobile and China Telecom in this village, but with the passage of time, they also moved away, so the communication conditions in this place have also deteriorated, and now in this century of science and technology, without the network, it is equivalent to isolation from the world.
