In 1955, after the founding of the People's Republic of China, he was awarded the founding general's nationality, which was from different provinces, cities and counties across the country. According to the statistics of the place of origin of the conferred generals, there are ten counties with the largest number of founding generals, so they are praised by posterity as the ten major general counties. It should be known that Sichuan (Zhu Laozong, Liu Shuai, Chen Laozong, Nie Shuai) and Hunan (Peng Laozong, Luo Shuai, He Laozong) have the largest number of marshals, so they are known as marshal provinces. At the same time, the number of founding generals who came out of Hunan was also the largest, and six of them were from Hunan.
In this way, Hunan in modern history is indeed very bullish, belonging to the generation of famous generals. The counties known as the ten major generals are: Hubei Hong'an, Anhui Jinzhai, Jiangxi Xingguo, Hunan Pingjiang, Jiangxi Ji'an, Jiangxi Yongxin, Henan Xinxian, Hubei Dawu, Anhui Lu'an, hunan Liuyang.

Three counties in Jiangxi were rated as general counties, two counties in Hubei were rated as general counties, two in Anhui, two counties in Hunan were selected as general counties, and only one county in Henan was selected. From the perspective of quantity, Jiangxi Province dominated the three counties, Xingguo, Yongxin, and Ji'an, with a total of 141 founding generals. The main reason for being able to get out of so many founding generals is that during the revolutionary war years, the base camp of the Red Army was established in Ruijin. The three counties of Xingguo, Yongxin and Ji'an all belonged to Ruijinsu District at that time. In this way, the young people of these three provinces, after being influenced by the Red Army, actively participated in the revolution, joined the Red Army, and eventually grew into a generation of founding generals.
Although there were a total of 141 founding generals in these three general counties, only two generals, Xiao Hua and Chen Qihan, from Xingguo County, were awarded the rank of general. As representatives of the fierce generals, Zhang Guohua, Liang Xingchu, Li Zuopeng, Wen Yucheng, and Yu Qiuli, who were both wen and wuquan, were all from these three general counties.
Hubei Hong'an, Dawu, and Henan Xinxian, as well as Anhui Jinzhai, Lu'an all belong to the Dabie Mountain area, which is also the junction of the three provinces of Eyu and Anhui. It was in this place that the famous Eyu-Anhui base area was once established, and it was also the birthplace of the Red Fourth Front. Friends who may know history know that the Eyu-Anhui base area was second only to the Ruijin Su District in its heyday, including the Red Fourth Front, which was also one of the main fronts in the Red Army period, and the number of people reached 80,000 in the heyday. This is also an important reason why there are so many founding generals who have come out of dabie mountain.
That is, Hong'an from Dabie Mountain, a total of 61 founding generals, became the head of the ten major generals county. Among them, Wang Jian'an, Chen Xilian, Zhou Chunquan, Guo Tianmin, Han Xianchu, Xie Fuzhi and other 6 were awarded the rank of general. Including the fierce generals Wang Jinshan, Liu Fei, Zhang Renchu, Hu Qicai, Qin Jiwei (awarded the rank of general in 1988), Xu Shenji, Xu Binzhou, and Zhan Caifang are all from Hong'an. Daigo County also produced 36 founding generals, ranking eighth among the top ten general counties. It is a pity that none of the 36 founding generals were ranked generals, but there was a founding general (Xu Hai dōng), and there were three famous founding lieutenant generals; Zhou Zhijian, Nie Fengzhi, and Cheng Shicai.
Jinzhai ranks second in the ten major general counties, with a total of 59 founding generals. There was only one person who was awarded the rank of general, he was Hong Xuezhi, an all-round general who was capable of military and political service, and was awarded the rank of general again in 1988, becoming the first person in the whole army. Anhui Lu'an ranked ninth among the ten major generals, with a total of 34 founding generals, none of whom awarded the rank of general, only one (Liang Congxue) was awarded the rank of lieutenant general, and the remaining 33 were all major generals.
Henan Xinxian ranks seventh among the top ten general counties, with a total of 40 founding generals, of which the famous general Xu Shiyou is from Xinxian County. There are also founding lieutenant generals such as Wu Xian'en, Zhang Chiming, Fan Chaoli, and Zheng Weishan, who are also from Xinxian County.
Pingjiang, Hunan ranks fourth among the top ten generals, with a total of 52 founding generals. Among them, Su Zhenhua, Zhong Qiguang, and Fu Qiutao were awarded the rank of general. Generals including Fang Qiang, Wu Xinquan, Zhang Zhen, Zhong Chibing, Lai Yi and other generals are lieutenant generals. At the same time, the famous Pingjiang Uprising in modern history, the flashpoint is in Pingjiang, Hunan. Because of this, the Pingjiang Uprising influenced a large number of young talents to join the revolution, experience the baptism of war, and eventually become a generation of founding generals.
Although Liuyang County ranks at the end of the ten major general counties, a total of 30 founding generals have come out. However, five generals were awarded the rank of general, namely Wang Zhen, Li Zhimin, Yang Yong, Song Renqian, and Tang Liang. Judging from the list of generals, the quality of the five generals who came out of Liuyang County is still quite high, and they are all famous generals who were both excellent in military and government during the Liberation War.
Hong'an produced six founding generals, ranking first in the list of ten major general counties, Liuyang produced five founding generals, ranking second in the ten major general counties, Pingjiang ranked fourth in the ten general counties, and produced three founding generals. Next is Xingguo (two founding generals), Jinzhai, and Xinxian, each with a founding general. None of the remaining four general counties, Dawu (born a founding general Xuhai dōng), Yongxin, Ji'an, and Lu'an, none of them were awarded the rank of general.
