At present, the information of the electric equipment of the Winter Olympic venues in Beijing has been fully connected to the power operation guarantee command platform of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games to achieve all-weather real-time panoramic monitoring.
The Winter Olympics Power Project is a non-permanent power supply facility project implemented to ensure the smooth hosting of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games. The Beijing Winter Olympics venues power project involves 26 venue power construction tasks and UPS construction tasks in the technical field, with a total of 77 installed boxes, 86 generators, 1766 sets of low-voltage boxes, 351 uninterruptible power supplies, 590 uninterruptible power supplies in the technical field, and 1217 kilometers of medium and low voltage cables, which meet the electricity demand of temporary facilities such as timing and scoring of Winter Olympic venues, Olympic broadcast services, catering, security, and communication technology machine rooms in advance.
According to the electricity demand of the venues proposed by the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, the State Grid Beijing Electric Power Company selected more than 50 backbone designers to set up a special class for the design of the temporary power in early 2019, compiled more than 10 Olympic-related standard specifications, and continuously optimized the adjustment plan according to the changes in the power of the venues, so as to reserve sufficient time for the subsequent construction of the venues.
In August 2021, the construction of Lindian Project was officially launched. State Grid Beijing Electric Power continues to carry out internal discussions around the difficulties and pain points of the project, coordinate the safety, quality and progress of construction, and strengthen communication and coordination with the Beijing Municipal Major Office, the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee and the venues, timely grasp the information on changes in the demand for electricity, and work together to solve various problems. During the construction process, the construction personnel overcame the unfavorable factors such as the changeable demand for power and cross-construction in the museum, reasonably optimized the connection arrangements for the construction of the Winter Olympic Test Games and the main event, and closely cooperated with the venue to provide extended power supply services to ensure that 26 power projects were completed as scheduled.
The relevant person in charge of Beijing Electric Power told reporters that in order to ensure the quality of the Winter Olympics power engineering equipment, the company fully considered the equipment application environment, especially for outdoor equipment cold and antifreeze requirements, and developed a distribution box and uninterruptible power supply equipment suitable for low-temperature operation. These equipment and facilities have functions such as electric heating and insulation, intelligent positioning monitoring, and rapid insertion and removal of entry and exit lines, which can realize the rapid installation and adjustment of power facilities and the real-time intelligent monitoring of each load point. At the same time, State Grid Beijing Electric Power has also formulated the testing standards for the materials of the Winter Olympics, strictly implemented the testing principle of "due diligence", and relied on the smart supply chain of the Jingdian intelligent library to carry out the whole process of material and equipment testing, inventory, distribution, recycling and sorting to ensure the reliable supply of materials for the construction of the electric power.
"Up to now, the information of the electric equipment of the Winter Olympic venues has been fully connected to the Beijing Winter Olympics power operation guarantee command platform. The security personnel can monitor the operation status of the equipment in real time and judge and deal with abnormal alarm information in the first time. Dai Guisheng, deputy director of the State Grid Beijing Electric Power Winter Olympic Office, told reporters that with the continuous deepening of the commissioning and operation of various business areas of the venue, the demand for power is likely to increase before the game. In this regard, State Grid Beijing Electric Power will pay close attention to changes in demand, do a good job in the reserve of emergency materials for power, establish a three-level spare product reserve system composed of venue warehouses, regional libraries and central libraries, actively cooperate with the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee to complete various new power project construction tasks, and accurately dock the "last centimeter" of the venue power supply.
