Then, Ono took out the state letter of the King of Wu from her arms and presented it to the Sui Emperor for reading. The Sui Emperor opened the National Book, and the first sentence at the beginning was: The Son of Heaven at sunrise to the book Day is nowhere to be unharmed. At this time, the Sui Emperor was greatly displeased, and a nameless fire rose in his heart. As we all know, the Uighur Kingdom has always considered itself to be the "land of the sunrise", but calling us "the country of the sun is gone", which is first of all a great disrespect.
Second, in the tributary system in ancient East Asia, only the emperor of China could be called the "Son of Heaven", and the monarchs of the surrounding small countries could not call themselves the Son of Heaven, otherwise it would be a sin of destroying the country. The Sui Emperor snorted coldly, personally wrote a letter of state by hand, and sent the emissary Pei Shiqing to return with Ono Meizi. However, on the way back, Ono Meizi accidentally lost the Sui Emperor's national letter, and after returning to China, he was almost sentenced to exile for the crime of losing the national letter. However, there are also historical records that Ono Meizi was worried that the Sui Emperor's sharp words would hinder the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, so she privately destroyed the national document, but we did not know any of this.
