The 2021 Shanghai Abstract Painting Association Annual Exhibition and the Academic Exhibition of the Fifth Anniversary of the Establishment of the Shanghai Abstract Painting Society were recently held at the Liu Haisu Art Museum Branch (Shanghai Putuo District Art Museum).
The exhibition is guided by the Shanghai Sino-foreign Cultural and Art Exchange Association, sponsored by the Shanghai Abstract Painting Society and the Shanghai Putuo District Culture and Tourism Bureau, and hosted by the Liu Haisu Art Museum Branch (Shanghai Putuo District Art Museum).

The exhibition showcases the latest experiments and creative achievements of the members of the Shanghai Abstract Painting Society, with a new and initial exhibition rate of nearly 100%, and there is no shortage of original and classic works. In addition, three generations of old, middle-aged and young abstract artists are in the same hall, reflecting the ecology and spiritual outlook of Abstract Art in Shanghai. Among the invited painters are Shanghainese abstract artists who have stayed in the United States for many years and representative abstract painters in Shanghai, showing different abstract styles.
In the eyes of industry insiders, the "Shanghai school of abstraction" in the new century means original style, personality differences, diversified forms, rich concepts and exquisite technology. Shanghai Abstract Painting Will adhere to the exploration and development direction of orientalized, nationalized and localized abstract art, and inject new impetus into Shanghai art.
