Nine years after Wu Zixu was given death, his words were indeed fulfilled, and the Yue King Gou Jian led people to sneak up on the State of Wu and destroy it.
When Wu Zixu was an official in the State of Wu, because he did a lot of good things for the people of the State of Wu, "Hanshan Temple outside Gusu City, the bell rings at midnight to the passenger ship", the poem mentions Gusu City, which he led people to build. In order to commemorate Wu Zixu, people built the XuWang Temple, in jiangsu and Zhejiang areas, there is also a custom of welcoming the Tao God, it is said that Wu Zixu became the Tao God after his death, every year on the fifth day of the first month of May, the world mourns and remembers it, so there is the Dragon Boat Festival.
After Wu Zixu died 627 years later, in 143 AD, it was another year of the Dragon Boat Festival, people greeted the Tao God as usual, Cao E's father Cao Xu (pronounced Xu) was a witch Blessing, Wu Zhu was a witch, in the sacrifice activities, Cao Xu fell into the Shun River, did not see anyone alive, did not see the corpse, Chang'e was 14 years old at the time, crying day and night by the river, seventeen days later also jumped into the river, and five days later, her body, holding her father's body surfaced. Du Shang, who was then the county commander of Shangyu County, heard of Cao E's deeds, so he ordered his protégé Handan Chun to make a confession (lei) and carved a stone monument to honor Cao E's filial piety, and in order to commemorate Cao E, the Shun River was changed to Cao E River, and in 1093, Song Zhezong also built the Cao E Hall.
In folklore, Cao E threw herself into the river on the fifth day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar, so the custom of the Dragon Boat Festival is to commemorate her. Handan Chun was a famous talent at that time, was one of Cao Zhi's five friends, his words were very brilliantly written, the Eastern Han Dynasty talent cai Wenji's father Cai Yong (pronounced Yong), once went to see the Cao E monument, but when he went at night, he touched his hand and read it, after reading it, he mentioned eight words on the back of his back: yellow silk, young woman, grandson, and gong usu, which means that the superficial meaning is that the deeds of this young girl are really sad, and the implied meaning of these eight words is actually a mystery.
According to the "New Sayings of the World", Cao Cao once passed under the Cao E Monument, when Yang Xiu was with him, he saw the words inscribed on the back of the stele, Cao Cao asked Yang Xiu if he understood the meaning of these eight words, Yang Xiu was quick to think quickly, and immediately guessed the meaning, Cao Cao asked Yang Xiu not to say the answer first, let him consider it, they walked another thirty miles, Cao Cao finally came up with it, the two wrote out the answer, it was exactly the same, Cao Cao looked at the haha laugh, and sighed that he was not as good as Yang Xiu, and said that he was thirty miles away from Yang Xiu.
As can be seen from the above, Cao Caozhi walked 30 miles to explain the meaning of these 8 words because he did not come up with it, and yang Xiu said that the yellow silk, that is, the silk with color, is the absolute word; the young woman, that is, the girl, is the word is wonderful; the grandson, the woman, is also, the word is good; the 齑 (pronounced ji) means mashed ginger, garlic, etc., are some spicy condiments, the mortar is the container of mashed ginger and garlic, the mortar is connected to the "instrument of receiving the xin", and the "received" side plus "xin" is 辤, 辤 is a variant of the word. So the bottom line of these eight words is: brilliant words.
In fact, what is recorded in the "New Language of the World" may not be all correct, because Cao E's tombstone is in Huiji, the eastern Han Dynasty belonged to Huiji County, the Three Kingdoms belonged to the territory of Eastern Wu, Cao Cao and Yang Xiu wanted to pass by there, that is, deep behind the enemy, Cao Cao has always occupied the north, he has no chance, to Wu Guo to see Cao E's tombstone.
